Arrieta (9-9) surrendered four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five across six innings as he was saddled with the loss Friday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta allowed a run in the second, followed by two in the third and one in the fifth before exiting with a three-run deficit. Despite an uncharacteristic outing, the 32-year-old owns a 3.37 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 106 punchouts through 144.1 frames this season. He'll look for a better outcome during his next start, which is lined up for Wednesday against Washington.

Arrieta (9-8) allowed one run on four hits while striking out six across six innings as he took the loss Saturday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta turned in a quality outing, surrendering his only run in the fourth inning on a Wilmer Flores RBI single. Despite an excellent start, Arrieta took his second loss in as many appearances. He'll look for more run support his next time out, as he's slated to pitch Friday against the Blue Jays. Arrieta owns a 3.25 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with a 101:42 K:BB over 138.1 frames.

Arrieta (9-7) took the loss against the Padres on Sunday, giving up five earned runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out four and walking two in the Phillies' 9-3 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta had been on fire coming into this contest and was coming off an eight-inning shutout of the Diamondbacks, but he couldn't keep it rolling as the Padres tagged him for five earned and chased him from the contest. The first-year Phillie is putting up solid numbers overall in 2018 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 132.1 innings so he still provides respectable fantasy value even if he's not quite the force he once was during his peak days with the Cubs. He's scheduled to take the hill next against the Mets on Friday.

Arrieta allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out four over eight scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The results were much better than eight swinging strikes and 17-of-28 first-pitch strikes would suggest. That's been a theme throughout the season, with Arrieta posting a top-10 ERA in the NL so far and outperforming the estimators by close to a run. Some pitchers can stave off regression for longer than others, but with Arrieta having just a 9.8 percent K-BB rate, it's wise to expect some regression over the remainder of the season. He lines up to face the Padres in San Diego this weekend.

Arrieta (9-6) tossed seven innings of one-run ball to earn the win Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing six hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta enjoyed one of his best outings of the season in the face of a difficult matchup, throwing 70 percent of his pitches for strikes and putting away hitters in a timely manner. He needed an economical 94 pitches to complete seven frames, with the only real damage against him coming during a short rally in the sixth inning. Though Arrieta's season hasn't been spectacular, he's turned a corner of late and has now gone at least six innings while allowing two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five outings. He'll carry a 3.32 ERA into his next scheduled start against the Diamondbacks.

Arrieta (6-6) picked up the win in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran gave up a couple of early runs, but then settled down and held on long enough for the Phillies' offense to stage a comeback. It was Arrieta's longest outing since he tossed seven innings against the Dodgers on May 29, which not coincidentally was also his last win. He'll take a 3.47 ERA into his next start Friday in Miami.

Arrieta tossed five innings Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on two walks and four hits while recording two strikeouts in a 4-3 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta only threw 71 pitches on the day, but overall it was a pretty so-so outing for the 6-foot-4 right-hander. His ERA has swelled up to 3.54 since ending May with a sparkling 2.16. Arrieta also hasn't picked up a win since May. He'll look to turn things around next Sunday against the Pirates.

Arrieta (5-6) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees. He allowed six runs (three earned) on nine hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta allowed a leadoff home run to Aaron Hicks to begin the game and was victimized by the long ball again in the fifth on a Didi Gregorius solo shot. He induced what looked like an inning-ending double-play in the third inning, but second baseman Cesar Hernandez committed a costly error that ultimately led to three unearned Yankee runs and an additional 14 pitches for Arrieta to get through the frame. The veteran has now allowed 19 runs over his last five June starts, raising his ERA from 2.16 to 3.54 in the process. He'll draw the Nationals in his upcoming Sunday start.

Arrieta (5-4) allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits across 5.1 innings to take the loss against the Brewers on Saturday. He issued three walks and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta had allowed only a two-run home run through five innings Saturday, but a catcher's interference, a walk and a hit by pitch loaded the bases and ended his afternoon. Luis Garcia then entered the game and allowed a pinch-hit grand slam to Ji-Man Choi. The veteran right-hander allowed more than two earned runs in only one of his first 10 outings, but has now given up 10 runs (nine earned) over his last two starts. Arrieta lines up to face the Brewers again in Milwaukee on Friday.

Arrieta (5-2) picked up the win Tuesday, throwing seven shutout innings with five strikeouts while allowing six hits and two walks against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta wasn't in much trouble most of the night, as all six hits allowed were singles. He's now struck out 12 and gone 13.2 innings without allowing a run over the last two starts, and finishes May with a microscopic 0.90 ERA over five starts and 30 innings. His 6.2 K/9 is still significantly down from past years -- 8.7 K/9 was his lowest mark in four full seasons with the Cubs -- but he'll carry a tidy 2.16 ERA and 1.15 WHIP into his next start Sunday against the Giants.
