Arrieta didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Cubs, allowing one run on eight hits and two walks over six innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander left the game in line for his fifth win of the season, but Seranthony Dominguez blew the lead in the eighth inning. Arrieta has been his usual reliable self so far, providing seven quality starts in 10 trips to the mound, and he'll take a 3.77 ERA and 51:25 K:BB through 62 innings into his next outing Saturday in Milwaukee.

Arrieta (4-4) gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out five through six innings taking the loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta gave nine baserunners and surrendered the five runs that ultimately put him on the hook for the loss. The walks continue to be an issue for the right-hander, sporting a 3.7 BB/9. The 33-year-old has a 4-4 record with a 4.02 ERA and 7.6 K/9 through nine starts this season. Arrieta will make his next start Monday against the Cubs.

Arrieta (4-3) allowed four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks across five innings, taking a loss against the Royals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander just couldn't keep the ball in the park, as the Royals smashed three homers against him. Arrieta came into Friday having allowed three home runs in his last four starts combined. It's worth monitoring, but his HR/FB is normal, and he isn't giving up many more fly balls this year. In other words, there's nothing to suggest homers are going to start being an issue for Arrieta. He'll look to get back on track in his next start against the Brewers on Wednesday.

Arrieta allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk across six innings in a no-decision against the Nationals on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander probably could have thrown one more inning, as he tossed just 89 pitches, but the Phillies pinched hit for Arrieta during a tied game in the sixth. Neither starter factored into the decision, as the Phillies and Nationals bullpens allowed a combined 12 runs. Arrieta hasn't been quite as sharp in his last two outings as he was at the beginning of the season, but he is still 4-2 with a 3.46 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 45 innings. He's coming on in the strikeouts department as well, with 19 punchouts in the last 17 frames. His next start will be Friday at the Royals.

Arrieta (4-2) earned the win Saturday against the Marlins despite giving up five runs on nine hits over five innings. He struck out five and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta was staked a 10-1 lead through five innings but fell apart in the sixth by allowing four runs on six hits, and even caught a break as the inning ended with an out at the plate. The 33-year-old has a 3.46 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB across 39 innings and lines up to pitch against the nationals next weekend.

Arrieta (3-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk while taking a loss against the Mets on Monday. He struck out seven batters.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first time in five starts this season where Arrieta allowed more than three runs. He allowed two runs in the third inning and later gave up a solo bomb to Jeff McNeil. Arrieta now owns a 2.65 ERA and 25:13 K:BB across 34 innings. He'll take on the Marlins in another NL East matchup on Saturday.

Arrieta (3-1) allowed two runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks across eight innings in a victory against the Mets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old has been a workhorse early this season, throwing at least seven innings in three of four starts. His strikeout numbers are down a little but so is the offense he's given up. Opposing hitters are batting just .200 against Arrieta through four starts. He is 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18 strikeouts over 28 innings. His next scheduled start is on the road against the Mets.

Arrieta (2-1) notched the win after allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings Friday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Arrieta surrendered his lone run in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly to left, but his offense supplied him with plenty of run support on the way to his second victory of 2019. The 33-year-old right-hander has started the season with three consecutive quality starts and owns a 2.25 ERA with 15 punchouts over 20 frames.

Arrieta (1-1) took the loss against the Twins on Saturday as he gave up three runs on five hits over seven innings. He issued three walks and had only one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
It's a peculiar stat line for Arrieta as he allowed only two extra-base hits -- both home runs -- but recorded only a single strikeout despite pitching deep into the game. Regardless, it's a tough-luck loss for the veteran right-hander as Philadelphia's offense was kept in check. Arrieta next lines up to take the mound Friday at Miami.

Arrieta picked up the win in his first start of the season Sunday against the Braves, allowing one run on three hits and six walks while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Walks haven't been a problem for Arrieta in recent years, as his walk rate has finished below eight in four of the last five seasons. It's possible that Sunday's total will simply be a one-game aberration, though it was a significant one, as hadn't walked more than three batters in a start since June 27, 2017. The walks made for constant traffic on the bases, but the veteran was consistently able to pitch out of jams, with the only blemish coming on a third-inning passed ball. Arrieta lines up to pitch again Saturday against the Twins.
