After collecting four hits in Friday's doubleheader, Ramos finished the front end of the minor-league season with a .237/.317/.414 batting line.
EDGE Analysis
That's not much of a line, but a hot stretch over the last five games prior to the All-Star break -- which saw Ramos play for the NL in the Futures Game, going 0-for-2 -- lifted the 21-year-old outfielder's stats significantly. Before that little streak, he was hitting an uglier .222/.311/.361, but that five-game span saw Ramos go 8-for-21 (.381) with three of his eight homers on the season. He also has seven steals on eight attempts, though Ramos isn't expected to make a major impact with his legs by the time he reaches the majors. A first-round pick in the 2017 draft, Ramos certainly has the talent to carry this little hot streak forward into the second half, but it's looking unlikely that he'll crack the majors this year other than maybe a brief cup of coffee in September.

Ramos was reassigned to minor-league camp Saturday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos got an extended look as a non-roster invitee this spring and posted a 1.164 OPS with three home runs, six RBI, five runs and one stolen base over 28 at-bats. However, the 21-year-old hasn't yet played above Double-A and will begin the 2021 campaign in the minors. Ramos could be in line to make his major-league debut later in the year if he remains effective in the minors.

Ramos is hitting .435 (10-for-23) with three home runs and getting an extended look at major league camp, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos, the 19th overall pick in the 2017 draft, hasn't played above Double-A, so he'll need some time in the high minors. It's not thought he has a shot to win a spot on the major league roster. However, he made a good impression at San Francisco's alternate training site last year and could reach the majors later this year.

Ramos will join the Giants' big-league camp this spring, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos got the chance to be part of the team's player pool last season and will now get to try to impress the big-league coaching staff in camp. He presumably still needs a bit more time in the minors, as he's yet to reach Triple-A and has played just 25 games at the Double-A level, but his debut may not be too far off.

Ramos has been sidelined during the Giants' Arizona instructional league camp since Oct. 8 with a strained left oblique, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
After the 2020 minor-league season was cancelled, Ramos was expected to pick up some much-needed competitive at-bats in the instructional league this fall, but the injury looks like it will cause him to miss out on that opportunity. Though the Giants are expecting Ramos will be back to full strength by spring training, he may not recover from the injury by the time instructional ball wraps up Nov. 12.

Ramos is receiving treatment for an infection in his leg, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, manager Gabe Kapler doesn't believe it's a serious concern, but he still didn't offer a recovery timeline for the young outfielder. Ramos was included in the team's 60-man roster pool as one of the organization's top prospects, but there's never been a high likelihood of him making his major-league debut in 2020.

Ramos made the Giants' 60-man roster.
EDGE Analysis
As one of the Giants' top prospects and someone with upper-level experience, Ramos was a lock to get the invite to summer camp. That said, he was likely ticketed for Double-A under normal circumstances, so he probably won't see much MLB playing time in this shortened campaign.

Ramos (oblique) is expected to be sidelined roughly three weeks, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old suffered a mild left oblique strain during Friday's Cactus League game against the Rockies while making a throw to home plate from the outfield, though he did hit a home run after sustaining the injury. Ramos will receive treatment this week before being reevaluated.

Ramos sustained a mild left oblique strain Friday and will be reevaluated later this week, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos apparently suffered the injury while making a throw home from the outfield, and he won't receive an official recovery timetable until being reevaluated. The young outfielder is one of San Francisco's top prospects, so the team is likely to remain cautious in order to avoid any setbacks.

Ramos was promoted from High-A San Jose to Double-A Richmond on Thursday, freelance journalist Marc Delucchi reports.
EDGE Analysis
The promotion was well deserved for Ramos, who turns 20 in September. He was the third-youngest and third-best hitter in the California League. Richmond is an extremely pitcher-friendly ballpark, so it will be very challenging for Ramos to carry over his success from the Cal League, without even considering he will be one of two 19-year-old hitters in the Eastern League. He will get his feet wet against Double-A pitching before likely returning to Richmond for the start of the 2020 season.
