Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles are interested in the White Sox' Gavin Floyd and Carlos Quentin.
Connolly cautions, though, that "there may not be a match." White Sox GM Kenny Williams is certainly willing to trade Quentin, but there have been indications that Floyd could stay put. The Sox appear to be in firesale mode, though, so all bets are off as far as who Williams could barter.

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Gavin Floyd "has been asked about but not offered up" by the White Sox.
Both Floyd's and John Danks' names have come up often in trade rumors, but it appears that the Sox would prefer to deal Danks. Floyd is set to earn $7.5 million in 2012 and the team has a $9.5 million option on him for $13, while Danks can be a free agent after next season. The righty held a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP this season for the Sox while making at least 30 starts for the fourth season in a row.

Gavin Floyd struck out 10 Royals Sunday and allowed only two runs on three hits and two walks over eight stellar innings, but he still suffered a loss in the one-run defeat.
Floyd was brilliant, but journeyman Luis Mendoza was just a little bit better. His one mistake was a two-run double he served up to Jarrod Dyson in the sixth inning, and that's all it took for him to fall to 12-13. Floyd made 30 starts for the fourth straight season and finished with a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, which is easily the best mark of his career. It's possible he could be trade bait over the offseason.

Gavin Floyd said he wouldn't be surprised if he got traded over the offseason.
"The funny thing is when I was traded (back in 2006), it was the last thing on my mind,'' Floyd said. "I've been a part of trade talks the last two or three years.'' The White Sox will surely shake up the roster after a disappointing 2011, and dealing Floyd, who is due $7 million in 2012 with a $9.5 club option for 2013, is on the table. He's had another nice year, posting a 4.46 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 141/43 K/BB ratio over 185 2/3 innings.

Gavin Floyd labored through 5 2/3 innings Thursday but allowed just one run on five hits and two walks while picking up a no-decision in an 8-1 win over the Indians.
He struck out four. Floyd obviously wasn't hit hard by the Indians, but he ran his pitch counts deep, needing 112 pitches to cover the 5 2/3 frames. The right-hander has been up-and-down of late, but his 6-1 second-half record stays intact. Floyd will bring a 4.35 ERA and 1.18 WHIP into next week's start against the Tigers.

Gavin Floyd picked up his 12th win of the season by limiting the Mariners to two earned runs over 7 1/3 innings Sunday.
Floyd struck out six, walked none and yielded five hits. It's Floyd's second straight dominant outing as he he shut out the Rangers over seven innings last Sunday. He likely won't fair as well against the hot-hitting Tigers next week, but is still worth a fantasy start in most formats.

Gavin Floyd scattered just three hits across seven scoreless innings of work on Sunday, improving to 11-10 in Chicago's 10-0 blowout of the Rangers at home.
He struck out six and walked one. Today was a much needed effort for Floyd, who came into his outing the owner of an 11.05 ERA through his first 14 2/3 innings of work this month. He'll get the Mariners in Seattle next weekend.

Gavin Floyd got battered by the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing 10 runs on nine hits in just 2 1/3 innings of a White Sox loss.
Floyd simply had nothing in an outing that ballooned his ERA from 3.96 to 4.56. Coming into this evening, he had allowed just two earned runs in 22 1/3 innings over his past three starts. His first chance to get back on track should come on Monday in Baltimore.

Gavin Floyd hurled seven innings of one-run ball in a 3-1 win over the Red Sox on Friday night.
He held the Red Sox to three hits and a pair of walks while fanning six. The only run scored on a solo homer by Jarrod Saltalamacchia in the third inning. Floyd now has a fantastic 0.81 ERA and 16/3 K/BB ratio in three starts since the All-Star break. The window to buy low has effectively closed.
