Gavin Floyd limited the A's to one run and two hits in 7 1/3 innings Tuesday but still took a loss. Not much luck for Floyd. It's the second time in four starts this season the White Sox have been shut out with him on the mound. He's 1-3 with a 3.60 ERA.

Gavin Floyd gave up five runs -- four earned -- in 5 2/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Rangers. Floyd allowed just five hits, but three of them found their way into the seats of the one AL ballpark that's even more homer-friendly than his own. He has another tough assignment coming up at home against the Tigers, so he's a weak play in mixed leagues this week.

Gavin Floyd allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings of Monday's loss to the Brewers. He struck out four, and served up a solo home run to Brooks Conrad. The rough outing gives Floyd a final Cactus League ERA of 6.64 to go along with a 16/9 K/BB ratio posted over 20 1/3 innings. Thrilling numbers from an inconsistency righty who put up a 4.37 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 151/45 K/BB ratio in 193 2/3 innings a season ago. He's a roster filler in 10-12 team mixed leagues.

Gavin Floyd was pummeled by the Rockies Wednesday, allowing eight runs on seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings of work. He recorded four strikeouts and served up a dinger to Dexter Fowler. Floyd had pitched pretty well up to this point this spring, and even if he hadn't, we wouldn't be worried about the veteran. He posted a 4.37 ERA and career-best 1.16 WHIP last season.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that "there's no evidence of ongoing talks" between the White Sox and Blue Jays involving right-handed starter Gavin Floyd. Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports heard Monday that the Jays were "still in pursuit" of Floyd and had been discussing a trade with the Pale Hose since the start of spring training. But perhaps there's no fire to that smoke. Floyd, 28, posted a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 193 2/3 innings last season. He's owed $7.5 million this year.

According to FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, the Blue Jays remain in pursuit of Gavin Floyd. A source told Morosi that the Jays have been talking to the White Sox about acquiring Floyd since spring training opened, and remain in contact here in early march. The 28-year-old right-hander registered a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 193 2/3 innings last season for Chicago. He's owed $7.5 million in 2012 and carries a $9.5 million club option for 2013.

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe writes that Gavin Floyd "continues to be a focus of teams looking for one more starter." Cafardo says Floyd "could be in play" for the Blue Jays or Red Sox, but the White Sox "don't appear eager" to move the right-hander. However, Floyd could become a prime trade target of teams at the deadline if the Sox are out of the playoff picture. The veteran right-hander has a $9.5 million option for 2013 before hitting free agency.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Red Sox are still showing interest in a trade for Gavin Floyd. The Red Sox discussed potential trades for Floyd and John Danks during the Winter Meetings last month, but nothing came to fruition. However, Morosi reported on Tuesday that the White Sox are "still listening to offers" on Floyd. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to earn $7.5 million this season while his contract includes a $9.5 club option for 2013. There are only a couple of quality options left on the free agent market, so the White Sox could net a nice package of prospects from a team desperate to add a starter prior to spring training.

According to FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, the White Sox are "still listening to offers" for Gavin Floyd. Floyd drew some trade interest earlier this winter from the Orioles, but negotiations didn't get very far. Now, with spring training approaching, teams could find themselves a little more desperate to add a quality starting pitcher. Floyd, a 28-year-old right-hander, posted a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 193 2/3 innings last season. He's owed $7.5 million in 2012.

According to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com, the White Sox could still trade Gavin Floyd this offseason. The White Sox reached a five-year, $65 million extension with John Danks earlier this week, but that doesn't mean they are keeping their starting rotation intact. Floyd is set to earn $7.5 million next season while his contract includes a $9.5 club option for 2013, so he could have plenty of appeal with so few quality starters left in free agency. The 28-year-old right-hander posted a disappointing 4.37 ERA this past season, but has made at least 30 starts in four straight years.
