Galvis (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis was acquired in a trade with the Orioles at the deadline while still battling a strained right quadriceps, an issue he suffered back in late June. The length of his absence means he'll likely need more than just a game or two in the minors before he's cleared to return, though it's not yet clear exactly when the Phillies intend to activate him.

Galvis (quadriceps) took live batting practice off rehabbing Phillies starter Zach Eflin (kneecap) on Sunday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
While recovering from the right quad strain he sustained June 26 as a member of the Orioles, Galvis has yet to make an appearance for his new organization since being acquired ahead of the July 30 trade deadline. Galvis' ability to take swings on the field Sunday is a good sign, but he'll still need to complete a multi-game rehab assignment in the minors before the Phillies bring him back from the 10-day injured list.

Galvis (quadriceps) was traded from the Orioles to the Phillies on Friday for Tyler Burch, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has been on the injured list but was reportedly nearing a rehab assignment prior to this trade. Once fully healthy, Galvis will be an option to spell Didi Gregorius, Jean Segura and Alec Bohm in the infield. He was hitting .249/.306/.414 with nine home runs in 72 games prior to suffering a quadriceps injury.

Galvis (quadriceps) is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment within the next few days and is tracking toward an early August return from the 10-day injured list, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore has yet to formally outline a rehab schedule for Galvis, but he'll presumably report to Triple-A Norfolk and play a few games with the affiliated before being activated. While Galvis has been sidelined since late June with the right quad strain, Ramon Urias has taken over as Baltimore's everyday shortstop.

Galvis (quad) will begin rehabbing in Sarasota shortly after the All-Star break and the team hopes to have him back by the end of July, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis has been out since the end of June with the injury. The original timetable given was between one and two months, so the current hope is that he will be able to return on the earlier side of that estimate. Prior to the injury, Galvis was hitting .249/.306/.414 across 273 plate appearances.

Manager Brandon Hyde said Sunday that Galvis (quad) is expected to be out between one and two months, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis was placed on the 10-day IL after being diagnosed with a right quad strain earlier Sunday. The injury is evidently rather serious, as Galvis figures to miss all of July and possibly a large portion of August. Ramon Urias and Domingo Leyba figure to see the bulk of the time at shortstop during Galvis' absence.

Galvis was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The move comes as little surprise, as manager Brandon Hyde said the injury appeared to be relatively serious after the infielder exited Saturday's loss to Toronto. It's not entirely clear how long Galvis will be sidelined, but he seems likely to be on the shelf for the next couple weeks and possibly through the All-Star break. Ramon Urias was recalled in a corresponding roster move.

Manager Brandon Hyde said following Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays that the club is waiting on the results of an MRI on Galvis' injured right quad, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis exited the game and was seen leaving the field in a cart. The skipper didn't seem optimistic, saying he's concerned that issue could be on the more serious side. The results of the MRI will ultimately determine the next steps for Galvis, but an IL stint appears to be likely at this point.

Galvis exited Saturday's game against the Blue Jays due to right quadriceps discomfort, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis was grabbing his leg after he ran out a bunt single in the top of the second inning. While he initially walked off the field on his own, he was later seen leaving the field on a cart, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Whether the 31-year-old is forced to miss additional time remains to be seen.

Galvis left Saturday's game against the Blue Jays in the top of the second inning with an apparent leg injury, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galvis hit a bunt single in the top of the second, but he appeared to be limping down the line and was immediately removed from the game as a result. The exact nature and severity of the injury aren't yet clear.
