Red Sox recalled LHP Felix Doubront from Triple-A Pawtucket. Doubront made three appearances with the Red Sox in April, but has spent the majority of the year with the PawSox, posting a 4.22 ERA and 61/26 K/BB ratio over 70 1/3 innings. He'll pitch out of the bullpen, but is capable of making a spot-start if needed. The newly-acquired Conor Jackson has also been added to the active roster.

Felix Doubront has been activated from the minor league disabled list. Doubront missed a couple of weeks with a strained right hamstring. The young left-hander will rejoin the Triple-A Pawtucket starting rotation on Thursday night.

It's not expected to keep him out long, but count on him missing at least a couple turns in Triple-A Pawtucket's rotation. Doubront has been injury-prone this season, also missing time with elbow and groin ailments earlier in the year.

Felix Doubront left Tuesday's start for Triple-A Pawtucket with a right hamstring injury. Doubront suffered a mild hamstring strain in his final start before the All-Star break. He thought it was no big deal, but it appears he's now aggravated the ailment. The left-hander has pitched well this season when healthy, but he's missed time with elbow and groin maladies and now has the hamstring to deal with. It's not clear at this point how long he might be out.
