Felix Doubront picked up his third straight victory on Saturday, limiting the Astros to three runs on four hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings of work. Doubront also matched his season high by strikeout out eight. The Astros had him on the ropes early on, scratching out a pair of runs in the first inning and loading the bases with one out, but he showed great poise to pitch out of the jam and settled in beautifully after that. He's off to a solid start to the season, posting a 3-0 record, 4.24 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 29/13 K/BB ratio through 23 1/3 innings. He'll face a much more difficult assignment next time out when he does battle against the Rangers in Arlington on Friday.

Felix Doubront earned a win after allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings against the A's on Monday. Because of Sunday's doubleheader tiring out the bullpen, Doubront was allowed to start the seventh at 107 pitches tonight. It ended up working out, as Doubront retired two more batters on six pitches before coming out. Doubront allowed three hits, walked five and struck out eight in moving to 2-0.

Felix Doubront struck out seven but lasted just five innings Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks in a 7-2 win over the Indians. Working on 10 days' rest, Doubront had his swing-and-miss stuff working, but he was also a little wild. The southpaw has struck out 13 over his first 10 innings this season, but it's come along with a pedestrian 4.50 ERA and 1.70 WHIP. He'll have to exhibit better control in order to avoid being a strikeout-only guy in fantasy leagues.

Felix Doubront's turn will be skipped following Friday's rainout. Doubront hasn't started since April 5, so his second outing will come nearly two weeks after his first. He'll next get the ball on Tuesday.

Felix Doubront will have his next start pushed back to Friday against the Rays. Doubront was originally scheduled to start Thursday's series finale against the Orioles, but now Alfredo Aceves will get the call as he fills in for John Lackey (bicep). The 25-year-old southpaw allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings last Friday in his season debut against the Blue Jays.

Felix Doubront struck out six in five scoreless innings in the Red Sox's 4-2 win over the Twins on Saturday. After experiencing some shoulder soreness early in camp, Doubront rebounded to go 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA in five starts. Last year's terrific strikeout rate makes him an intriguing breakout candidate in 2013. Still, we don't see him as worthy of a spot in mixed-league rotations initially.

Felix Doubront pitched extremely well in Friday's victory over the Twins, scattering two hits and a walk over four scoreless innings. Doubront racked up four strikeouts along the way in the impressive outing. The young lefty has posted a 2.08 ERA and 11/4 K/BB ratio through 8 2/3 innings this spring, and offers significant upside in the later rounds of fantasy drafts with his ability to generate strikeouts.

Felix Doubront allowed two runs but struck out five in his three innings Saturday. Doubront is a good bet to make the Red Sox rotation after making 29 starts in his rookie year. He won 11 games in 2012, but a 4.86 ERA and 1.45 WHIP take some shine off the 25-year-old lefty. If he can ever get the control issues figured out he'd be an enticing fantasy option for his stikeout ability -- Doubront fanned 167 in 161 innings last season.

He was set back by shoulder soreness early in camp, but he hasn't had any issues of late. We don't see Doubront as much more than a fifth starter in AL-only leagues.
