Gattis will start again at catcher for Wednesday's 12:10 p.m. ET game against the Phillies, assuming Tuesday's game isn't extremely long, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien reports. This is just a bookkeeping note that owners shouldn't have to worry about Gattis missing Wednesday's game as a result of the short turnaround after Tuesday night's affair.

Gattis is out of the lineup Thursday against the Mets. With Gattis starting each of the last four games, manager Fredi Gonzalez decided the catcher was overdue for a rest. Gerald Laird will handle the duties behind the plate, catching for pitcher Mike Minor.

Gattis hit his 20th homer Sunday while going 2-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch against the Reds. Gattis tied Devin Mesoraco among full-time catchers for the most homers at the position this season (Carlos Santana has 21 homers, but he's only caught 11 times this season). Given the attrition at the position, Gattis could be a top-5 catcher next year.

Gattis is out of the lineup Monday. The Braves' top catcher will get a standard day off, and it just so happens to also be his 28th birthday Monday. He's slashing .275/.329/.508 on the season, and has been one of the best sources of power at the position for fantasy owners. Gerald Laird will get the nod behind the dish Monday.

Gattis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Gattis will take a seat for the day game after Saturday's night game. He has struggled at the plate as of late, collecting just five hits in his last 30 at-bats and striking out 10 times. Gerald Laird will start behind the plate Sunday and bat seventh for the Braves.

Braves activated C Evan Gattis from the 15-day disabled list. Gattis wound up missing a little over three weeks with a bulging thoracic disc in his back. He hit the ball well on his minor league rehab assignment and will return Monday to an excellent .290/.342/.558 batting line. Gattis has slugged 16 home runs in 63 games.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Sunday that barring any setbacks, Evan Gattis (back) is set to return to the Braves lineup on Monday. Gattis spent the weekend on a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. He has been on the shelf since late June due to a bulging disc in his back. Before going on the DL, the White Bear was hitting .290/.342/.558 with 16 homers and 39 RBI in his first 63 games.
