Fedde tossed three shutout innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
He was touching 95 mph with his fastball, and the 24-year-old right-hander looked more than ready to assume the mantle of being the Nats' top pitching prospect following the offseason trade of Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez. Manager Dusty Baker was also impressed Saturday, name-dropping 1990 AL Cy Young Award winner and two-time All-Star Bob Welch as a comparison. Fedde's not yet on the 40-man roster so even with Max Scherzer (finger) looking questionable for Opening Day, the youngster's not likely to break camp with the big club. A strong first half showing in the high minors could put him in line for his major league debut after the All-Star break, though.

Fedde is slated to start for the Nationals in Saturday's game against the Mets, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde has made multiple appearances out of the bullpen this spring, but Saturday will be his starting debut. The 24-year-old right-hander spent most of 2016 with High-A Potomac before eventually being promoted to Double-A Harrisburg, where he posted a 3.99 ERA in 29.1 innings of work.

Fedde threw two shutout innings, striking out two, in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
He was touching 95 mph with his fastball, and Fedde showed why he's the top pitching prospect in the Nats' system, and their No. 3 fantasy prospect overall in Rotowire's rankings. He's expected to begin the season back at Double-A, but an impressive first half could put him in line to make his big league debut later in 2017.

Fedde will take part in major league spring training with the Nationals, The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team's top pitching prospect after Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez were sent to the White Sox, Fedde cruised through High-A last season before finishing the campaign at Double-A Harrisburg. He's not on the 40-man roster yet and is no threat to break camp with the big club, but the 23-year-old could put himself firmly in the Nats' 2018 plans with a strong showing in the upper minors this year.

Fedde was promoted to Double-A Harrisburg on Sunday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde has been exceptional in recent contests at High-A Potomac. Over his last 10 games, Fedde has gone 4-1 and posted an elite 0.68 ERA. He's also demonstrated the ability to use his elite control to generate strikeouts, as he owns a 9.3 K/9 and 5.00 K/BB.

Fedde, 23, has a 0.71 ERA and 50:10 K:BB over his last 10 outings, a span of 50.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde did have an oblique injury mixed in during that stretch, but it is difficult to ignore the statistics. His ERA has dropped from 5.77 to 3.08 in that time period. Fedde has a huge arm, and as long as he can stay healthy, could emerge as a top-flight pitching prospect by next season.

Fedde, 23, allowed one run on three hits in six innings in his first start at High-A since returning from an oblique injury. He walked one batter while fanning eight.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde has a big arm though is a bit older due to undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2014. The Nationals will bring him along slowly, but the former first round pick has loads of upside. He has a 61:15 K:BB in 61 innings in 2016.

Fedde was placed on the DL with High-A Potomac on Thursday with mild oblique soreness, the Washington Post's Chelsea Janes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde is the Nationals' top pitching prospect in the lower levels of the minors, and had a 3.63 FIP and 46:10 K:BB in 45 innings prior to the injury. He only tossed 64 innings last season as he was returning from Tommy John surgery, so he could still hit his innings cap this season even if he's sidelined for a month with this injury, which seems likely.
