Fedde allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks across six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Mets. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
All five runs on Fedde's ledger came via the long ball -- a three-run home run by Asdrubal Cabrera in the first inning and a two-run shot by Wilmer Flores in the third. He loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth inning but was able to battle out of the jam with no further damage done. One of the top pitching prospects in the Nationals system, Fedde has struggled at the big league level this season, posting an unsightly 9.39 ERA through 15.1 innings. He is not currently scheduled to make another start with the Nationals and should head back to Triple-A Syracuse in short order.

Fedde was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and will start Game 1 of the Nationals' doubleheader Sunday against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals are designating Fedde as their 26th man for the twin bill, meaning he'll likely head back to Syracuse following the spot start. Due to the fact the Nationals were playing six games in five days, Fedde was only temporarily needed to fill an opening in the rotation, but he'll rank near the top of the list of replacements if another starting pitcher should succumb to an injury in the final few weeks of the season. Fedde has previously made two starts for the big club, giving up 11 runs on 18 hits and six walks over 9.1 innings.

Fedde is an option to pitch one game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tanner Roark will start one of the games, and if Max Scherzer's neck is feeling better he's the Nats' first choice to take the mound for the other. If Scherzer's return is delayed, however, Fedde is the most likely option to be called up for a spot start as he hasn't pitched for Triple-A Syracuse since Aug. 21. The team's No. 6 fantasy prospect got rocked in his initial introduction to the majors, but he hasn't let it affect him since his demotion, giving Syracuse two straight quality starts with a 10:2 K:BB in 13 innings.

Fedde was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Gio Gonzalez (personal) back from the paternity list in time for his next scheduled start, Fedde is no longer needed in the Nationals' rotation. The rookie now owns an unsightly 10.61 ERA through two major-league starts this season, and his 5.57 ERA through 21 innings with Syracuse isn't very reassuring, either.

Fedde surrendered four runs on eight hits with four walks and seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings during Sunday's no-decision against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Washington's offense got Fedde off the hook, but the rookie fill-in once again failed to impress after losing in his first start. He now owns a 10:6 K:BB in 9.1 innings while surrendering 18 hits over that span. Expect the 2014 first rounder to be sent back to Triple-A Syracuse when Gio Gonzalez comes off the paternity list later this week.

Fedde was called up from Triple-A Syracuse in advance of his start against the Cubs on Sunday, The Washington Post's Jorge Castillo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde will fill in for Gio Gonzalez, who was placed on the paternity list Saturday. During one start with the big-league club earlier this season, Fedde got rocked by Colorado, giving up seven earned runs off 10 hits and a pair of walks while striking out three in four innings. But the right-hander has been pitching well with Syracuse lately, posting a 2.88 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 25 innings since the beginning of June.

Fedde will start Sunday's game against the Cubs, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The pitching prospect was rocked in his first start Saturday, conceding seven runs in just four innings of work, but with Max Scherzer (neck) and Stephen Strasburg (elbow) nursing injuries and Gio Gonzalez likely destined for the paternity list, Fedde will return to the majors to make another spot start. The 24-year-old will look to right the ship against southpaw Jon Lester in the series finale.

Fedde was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old only managed to last four innings in his inaugural big-league start Sunday, and with A.J. Cole needing a roster spot to make Wednesday's start, Fedde was the obvious choice to send back to the minors. However, with multiple Nationals starters dealing with injuries and Gio Gonzalez potentially needing a stint on the paternity list soon, Fedde could be brought back to Washington to make a start during the team's weekend series with the Cubs.

Fedde (0-1) allowed seven runs -- five earned -- on 10 hits and two walks while striking out three batters over four innings during Sunday's loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
This was a tough spot for Fedde, as he had made just four starts at the Triple-A level and sported a 5.57 ERA through 10 appearances with Syracuse this season. He'll probably return to the minors in short order, and until he shows better form in the lower levels, he's off the fantasy radar in the majority of settings.

Fedde was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse in advance of his scheduled start for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Rockies, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde will temporarily enter the Nationals' rotation in place of Stephen Strasburg, who was forced to the 10-day disabled list earlier this week with an elbow injury. Strasburg was able to complete a bullpen session Saturday without any setbacks, so Fedde may only be in store for a one-start assignment in his first taste of the big leagues. The 24-year-old has submitted a 5.57 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 21 innings in his four starts at Triple-A since being promoted from Double-A Harrisburg in mid-June.
