Eric Young Jr. is back in the Mets' lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader.
He'll need to pass a pre-game running test first, but it appears Young's right knee is fine. He injured it during the play on Wednesday at first base that resulted in Tim Hudson's fractured ankle.

Eric Young, Jr. (knee) underwent X-rays which showed no issue.
Young left Thursday's game after three innings with right knee pain, which stems from him stepping on Tim Hudson's ankle on Wednesday night. It doesn't sound too serious, but the Mets figure to give him some time off until the discomfort dissipates.

Eric Young Jr. went 2-for-4 and swiped his 16th base of the season in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Pirates.
Young has done a terrific job since coming to the Mets, hitting .304 (31-for-102) with 16 runs scored, 10 RBI and eight stolen bases in only 23 games. As long as he's hot and hitting atop the Mets' lineup, he should be owned and started in all fantasy formats.

Eric Young Jr. scored the go-ahead run as the Mets beat the Giants 4-3 in 16 innings on Monday.
Young singled with one out in the top of the 16th, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout and then scored on a Brandon Crawford error. He's batting .299 with 12 runs scored, 10 RBI and six steals in 19 games for the Mets. While he's no lock to last as a starting outfielder, he's plenty valuable in fantasy leagues at the moment.

Eric Young Jr. went 3-for-4 with an RBI against the White Sox on Wednesday.
Young has enjoyed his time in New York, as the outfielder now has 12 hits in 29 at-bats (.414) with the club. He's also scored four times, driven in five runs and stolen a base in those seven games. He could be the catalyst at the top of the lineup the Mets have been looking for.

Eric Young, Jr. will start in left field and bat leadoff Thursday against the Braves.
Young played center field in his Mets' debut on Tuesday, but Juan Lagares will play there Thursday with southpaw Mike Minor on the hill for Atlanta. Mets manager Terry Collins plans to give Young regular playing time in the short-term, so the speedster makes for an intriguing pickup for fantasy owners who need to catch up in the stolen base department.

Mets manager Terry Collins plans to play new acquisition Eric Young Jr. often.
"We'll probably play him quite often to see what he brings to the table," Collins said. "We're hoping he brings something that we haven't had since Jose [Reyes]." Young was in center field and hitting leadoff on Wednesday in his first game with the Mets. Fantasy owners in need of steals should scoop him up.

Eric Young, Jr. will bat leadoff and start in center field in his Mets' debut Wednesday against the Braves.
Young was acquired from the Rockies on Tuesday night in exchange for right-hander Collin McHugh. The 28-year-old was batting just .242/.290/.352 with the Rockies this season, but he has plenty of speed and could receive regular playing time in the Mets' outfield. He's someone to keep in mind if you need stolen bases in deeper mixed formats.
