Lauer (personal) was reinstated from the bereavement list Wednesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Overall, it was a strong outing for the 24-year-old, who improves to 4-0 against the Dodgers in five career starts. Lauer now sports a 4.04 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 72:25 K:BB over 17 appearances this season.

He retired the top of the lineup in the first inning but loaded the bases with consecutive hits in the second. Lauer then recorded two outs but allowed a single to Tommy Edman to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. On the bright side, the 24-year-old has only allowed one home run in June. Lauer now owns a 4.22 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB. He'll look to bounce back in a more favorable matchup against the Giants on Wednesday.

Lauer (5-7) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits with one walk and four strikeouts while taking a loss against the Pirates on Friday.

The left-hander pitched well against the Pirates for the second time this season, but an unearned run in the seventh helped hand him the loss. That's three straight losses for Lauer, but at least he did pitch much better in this outing than his last two. He is 5-7 with a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 81.1 innings this season. His next start is scheduled against the Cardinals at home Friday.

Lauer (5-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on 10 hits and two walks over 2.2 innings while striking out two as the Padres were downed 14-8 by the Rockies.

While he managed to keep the ball in the yard, the Rockies pummeled Lauer for four doubles among the 10 hits in a typical Coors Field slugfest. The southpaw will carry a 4.60 ERA and 59:22 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next start Friday in Pittsburgh.

Lauer (5-5) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits and three walks in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Nationals. He struck out five and took the loss.

He'll look to keep it going in his next start, which is scheduled for Saturday on the road against the Nationals.

Lauer (4-4) struck out four and picked up the win in Tuesday's 5-4 victory over the Yankees, giving up one run on four hits and no walks over 5.1 innings.

Lauer shut out the Yankees until the fourth inning, when Gary Sanchez blasted a solo homer for the Yankees' first run. The left-hander didn't allow more than one hit in an inning until the sixth, when he allowed two singles before being lifted after 83 pitches. The 23-year-old will carry a 4.45 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP and 49:14 K:BB over 58.2 innings into his next start Monday at home against the Phillies.

Lauer (3-4) picked up the win against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, giving up one earned run on four hits over seven strong innings, striking out seven and walking none in a 5-2 victory for the Padres.

The left-hander has bounced back from an eight-run blowup against the Rockies on May 10 with a pair of solid starts, as he's given up just one earned run over 12.2 innings since the meltdown in Colorado.
