Gregorius (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
His placement on the disabled list is retroactive to Mar. 30, but it's entirely possible that Gregorius still will not be ready to return after his DL stint. He's set to resume throwing during the week of April 4 and Ronald Torreyes appears to be the primary beneficiary in the starting shortstop's absence.

Gregorius (shoulder) expects to start throwing sometime during the week of April 4, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It'll be Sir Didi's first work with his arm since he injured his right throwing shoulder during the World Baseball Classic. Gregorius could miss all of April but still should produce solid fantasy numbers when healthy. New York may mix and match a bit at shortstop, but Ronald Torreyes looks like the primary option in his absence.

Gregorius has a shoulder strain and will not be able to participate in baseball activities for two weeks, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius suffered the injury playing in the WBC over the weekend, and unfortunately, it means he'll have to miss Opening Day. Manager Joe Girardi also said that it's even possible the shortstop could miss all of April with the injury. The 27-year-old will likely have a firmer timetable once he is able to resume baseball activity, while Tyler Wade could fill in for Gregorius during his absence.

Gregorius has left Team Netherlands with a right shoulder injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius underwent preliminary testing on Sunday and now he's catching a flight back to the Tampa to have more testing done by the Yankees on Tuesday. Needless to say, the 27-year-old is out for the WBC semifinal game vs. Puerto Rico on Monday night. This is something to monitor, and more should be known about his status after his tests on Tuesday.

Gregorius will leave the Yankees' spring training facility Tuesday in order to join Team Netherlands in advance of the World Baseball Classic, Ken Davidoff of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius' role with the team as the starting shortstop is secure, so provided the 27-year-old is able to stay healthy, his departure from the team in the spring shouldn't have much of an impact. He broke out last season with career bests in home runs (20), RBI (70), and batting average (.276), and while that still isn't in the upper echelon of the young shortstop talent that's emerged in recent years, Gregorius should provide a solid option up the middle for fantasy owners.

Gregorius agreed to a one-year, $5.1 million contract with the Yankees on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
His defense slipped in his age-25 season, but Gregorius made up for it to an extent with a significant power boost. Gregorius more than doubled his previous career high of nine home runs (established in 2015) while posting the best contact rate of his career. He'll make for a decent consolation prize for those who miss out on one of the young superstars at the shortstop position.

Gregorius is not in Saturday's lineup against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He left Friday's game after two at-bats, but so did several other Yankees regulars, so it seems that they are simply trying to spread out the playing time over the final games of the season. Ronald Torreyes will start at shortstop and hit ninth Saturday.

Gregorius went 3-for-4 with a solo homer Tuesday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius was one of three Yankees to hit one out against Boston starter David Price, continuing his season-long trend of excelling against lefties. The 26-year-old shortstop is putting together by far his finest campaign to date, as he now has 20 homers after never managing to top nine in a season since breaking into the majors in 2012.

Gregorius (ribs) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
He was held out of the lineup over the last two games due to rib soreness, but he hit a pinch-hit home run in Tuesday's game, signaling that he was ready to return. Gregorius should serve as the Yankees' everyday shortstop over the final 20 days of the season.

Gregorius has been held out of the lineup the last two days due to rib soreness, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Joe Girardi had previously said that Gregorius was sitting out to give his body a rest, but it appears he is dealing with a specific injury, one that he suffered during Sunday's game. While Gregorius has been held out of the lineup back-to-back days, Girardi is hopeful that he will be able to return to action Wednesday.
