Fowler went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 5-3 victory over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran leadoff man got the game started with his seventh round-tripper of the season, and his second homer in the last seven games. Fowler also enjoyed his first multi-hit effort since May 24, and broke out of the 1-for-10 slump he'd started off June with. The 30-year-old has proven to be an effective table setter for the Cubs this season, slashing .309/.428/.526 over 194 at-bats.

Fowler is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler was held out of action Monday due to some minor soreness in his right heel, but he'll assume his usual spot in center field Tuesday. The 30-year-old will lead off against the Dodgers' Scott Kazmir.

Updating a previous report, Fowler is out of Monday's lineup due to a sore right heel, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler was given what was originally thought to be a routine day off Monday, but it turns out a bit of soreness is in play. Fortunately for the Cubs, manager Joe Maddon doesn't believe the ailment is overly serious. Consider Fowler day-to-day heading into Tuesday's matchup against the Dodgers.

Fowler is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler tallied at least one hit in all but two of his last 15 games, but manager Joe Maddon felt it was time for a day off after Fowler made 16 straight starts in center field. Jason Heyward will slide over and cover center field Monday in Fowler's place.

Fowler went 3-for-6 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
This marks Fowler's second three-hit game in his past four starts as the Cubs' leadoff man continues to rake. Unfortunately, he hasn't gotten much reward for it -- just one run scored and two RBI. Still, Fowler already has 31 runs scored this season and is on pace for a robust 114 on the season.

Fowler went 3-for-5 with a solo homer Saturday at the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler's fifth homer brought the Cubs within two runs in the ninth inning of a losing effort. He's now hit safely in 12 of his last 14 games, and he's slashing .324/.445/.547.

Fowler is not in the lineup for Game 1 of the Cubs' doubleheader against the Padres on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler has been the everyday leadoff man and center fielder this season, but he'll take a seat for Game 1 as manager Joe Maddon shifts Jason Heyward over to center. Heyward will bat second, while Ben Zobrist takes over the leadoff spot.

Fowler went 2-for-4 with a triple, RBI, walk and a run scored in Saturday's 8-5 victory over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran leadoff hitter shows no signs of a slowdown, as his .333/.419/.481 line in May closely mirrors his stellar body of work throughout the course of the season so far. Fowler has hit safely in six of the month's seven games to date, and already has nine hits, two doubles, Saturday's three-bagger and four walks to his credit as well. His .343 average, .460 OBP, and 35 hits are all team-high figures.

Fowler was ejected from Thursday's game against the Nationals at the end of the third inning.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler was arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Vic Carapazza and did enough to get himself tossed from the contest. He was replaced by Jason Heyward (wrist) in center field.

Fowler went 2-for-5 Sunday with a double, a run scored and his third stolen base of the season.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to rake at the top of the Cubs' batting order, and Fowler is now hitting .350/.470/.613 and has already crossed the plate 20 times this season while adding three homers and 15 RBI. He's not going to keep up that pace, as his previous career high in OPS is just .863, but given the bats behind him he seems well-positioned for his second consecutive season with 100 or more runs scored.
