Travis left Sunday's game in the first inning after getting hit by a pitch in the rib cage area. Travis tried to stay in the game, but was clearly laboring after sliding into first base on a pickoff throw.

Travis was moved to the lead-off spot and responded with a 2-for-5 night, including a home run and two RBI as the Jays dropped a decision to Atlanta on Friday night. Quickly endearing himself to Jays fans and fantasy owners, the rookie second baseman now has three long ones to go with 12 RBI and a .375 average. With Jose Reyes banged up with a cracked rib, he may gain extra value batting at the top of the potent Toronto lineup, at least until Reyes returns, but as yet there is no timetable for that.

Travis will lead off for the Blue Jays on Friday against the Braves. Travis appears to be the first choice to take over atop the order for the injured Jose Reyes (ribs). It's unclear how long he will play in the leadoff spot, but he'll at least get an audition Friday, and could be there longer if Reyes winds up on the disabled list.

Travis went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rays. Travis continued his torrid start, hitting for a .371/.421/.657 slash line in the opening 10 games. He has four multi-hit games thus far this season and went 7-for-15 with a home run, two doubles, two runs scored and four RBI against the Rays. Travis is quickly becoming a hot option at second base in many formats and you may want to pick him up while he's still available.

Travis went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Wednesday's win over Tampa Bay. Travis continues to show well for the Jays in the early going, as he's now sitting on a .323 average with a pair of homers in nine games. It'll be a challenge to keep this up, but Travis certainly looks like he's going to be fantasy-relevant this season.

Travis went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 12-5 win over the Orioles. Travis is off to a torrid start at the plate, hitting for a .385/.500/.692 slash line in his first four career games. While the sample size is small, after never seeing an at bat above Double-A Erie in the Tigers' organization, Travis has quickly become an anchor at the bottom of the Blue Jays' lineup. If he can continue this production, he's certainly worth a long look in dynasty leagues and could be a sneaky value play in daily leagues.

Travis went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run Tuesday against the Yankees. He's now 3-for-6 with a pair of walks over the first two games of the year. Travis looks anything but overmatched in his first taste of the majors, so owners in need at second base should consider him, particularly in deeper formats.

Travis had a Major League debut to remember Monday, going 1-for-2 with a solo home run in the Blue Jays' win over the Yankees. The rookie second baseman also added two walks hitting out of the nine hole. After a strong spring, Travis is looking to make noise early in the season, as Macier Izturis could factor into the second base mix when he comes off the disabled list.

Travis made the Opening Day roster and will serve as the Blue Jays' starting second baseman, Sportsnet's Barry Davis reports. Steve Tolleson also made the Opening Day roster, while Ryan Goins seems to be up in the air. Travis could eventually lose playing time to one of those guys or Maicer Izturis (groin), who will open his season on the disabled list. Despite never playing above the Double-A level, Travis is the only one of the bunch offering any kind of upside. The others are all-glove, no-bat types with minimal power and speed.

Travis appears to be in line to begin the season as the Blue Jays' starting second baseman, Sportsnet.ca reports. Maicer Izturis is expected to open the season on the disabled list with a groin injury, leaving Travis to push a few bench candidates (Ryan Goins and Steve Tolleson) for playing time at the keystone. Travis hit .298/.358/.460 over 100 games at Double-A last season, and his combination of power and speed (10 homers, 16 steals) makes him the most intriguing option of the bunch if he can lock down the the starting role all season.
