Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Derek Jeter (ankle) could play shortstop if he feels better after batting practice. Jeter is currently penciled in as the designated hitter as he nurses a bone bruise in his left ankle. It's not clear if Eduardo Nunez would simply flip to the DH spot if there's a change or whether he would be bumped from the lineup altogether.
