Santana will placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
EDGE Analysis
Santana strained his left hamstring during Monday's game against the Athletics. This movement simultaneously made room for Byron Buxton on the 25-man roster. This is Santana's second hamstring strain of the year that's placed him on the disabled list, but he was able to bounce back from his first one in about two weeks.

Santana left Monday's game against the Athletics with a hamstring strain, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Santana dealt with a similar injury earlier in the year on his right hamstring, but this is a strain in his left hamstring. The severity of his injury is also unknown, but there will likely be more updates on the outfielders status soon.

Santana went 1-for-3 with a game-tying two-run double and a run scored in Saturday's 5-3 victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Santana keyed an eighth-inning comeback, getting to J.A. Happ for a one-out double that plated Robbie Grossman and Darin Mastroianni and forged a 2-2 tie. The 25-year-old has now hit safely in five of his last six, and now has eight RBI during May.

Santana accounted for half of the Twins' hits in Thursday's 11-inning loss to Toronto by going 2-for-4 with two steals and a run.
EDGE Analysis
Although he'd gone more than a week without swiping a bag, Santana now has more steals through 25 games this season (nine) than he did in 91 games last year (eight). He's also been caught five times, though (including once Thursday), which makes for a career high of its own. Meanwhile, his hitting stats are not good by any stretch, so if you're rolling Santana out in fantasy, you're surely doing it in the knowledge that he's a one-category asset.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The shortstop made some noise out of the nine-hole, and extended his hitting streak to four games. Despite the moderate success Saturday, Santana has endured a slump in May, and has seen his average dip 53 points to .260 as a result. However, he continues to provide adequate offense, and brings the added dimension of an occasional stolen base as well.

Santana is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Santana has settled back into a full-time role since his activation from the DL on April 25, but he's seen his production dip in the last week, going 4-for-29 over the last seven contests. Those struggles are unlikely to cost Santana his starting job, so consider Sunday's absence just as a mental day off.

Santana hit his first home run, a leadoff blast, and stole a base in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Santana's poor .298 on-base percentage continues to restrict him, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon, as he has just a 3.5 percent walk rate in 203 career games. But his batting average is up to a solid .283, and he now has four stolen bases in seven opportunities. He's going to be running whenever he's on base, now he just has to get on enough to make his speed count. Don't expect the power to be a regular bonus -- it was Santana's first since August 31, 2014.

Santana went 3-for-5 with a double, a steal, an RBI and a run against the Indians on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He's been in midseason form since returning from a hamstring injury a few days ago, ripping off seven hits in three games. With the Twins having demoted the ineffective Byron Buxton, Santana's in good position to get plenty of run in center field, and it looks like he'll hit either leadoff or No. 2 in the order whenever he's in the lineup.

Santana started in center field, hit leadoff and went 3-for-5 with a caught stealing in Tuesday's win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Santana has been in the lineup both games since returning from the DL. It looks like he'll get regular starts in the outfield with Byron Buxton sent to the minors as he and Eddie Rosario will split time in center field.

Santana (hamstring) has been activated from the DL, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Byron Buxton and Max Kepler headed to Triple-A, Santana could see occasional time in center field in the coming weeks, in addition to being a part of the mix at shortstop along with Eduardo Escobar and Eduardo Nunez.
