Santana strained his left hamstring during Monday's game against the Athletics. This movement simultaneously made room for Byron Buxton on the 25-man roster. This is Santana's second hamstring strain of the year that's placed him on the disabled list, but he was able to bounce back from his first one in about two weeks.
