Duffy landed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain.
EDGE Analysis
Per Joel Goldberg of Fox Sports Kansas City, Duffy can't blame the injury for his awful outing Saturday against the Twins, when he allowed four homers and nine runs total in 4.2 innings of work, as he suffered the injury while running Monday. It's not yet clear how many starts he's expected to miss or who will be replacing him in the rotation. Reliever Jake Newberry was recalled in a corresponding move.

Duffy (5-6) allowed nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts across 4.2 innings while taking a loss against the Twins on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old has dealt with a home run problem most of the season, but he was at his worst in that area Saturday despite pitching in a stadium not known to be power-hitter friendly. Duffy allowed a season-high four home runs, including two to Nelson Cruz. Duffy now owns a 1.7 HR/9, which is the worst mark of his career. He also has a 4.93 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 90 strikeouts in 100.1 innings this season. Duffy will pitch again Thursday at the Tigers.

Duffy (5-5) allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings Sunday, striking out five and earning the win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from allowing a three-run shot to Carlos Santana in the first inning, it actually wasn't a terrible outing for Duffy, though he'd surrender a solo shot to Jordan Luplow later in the contest. The 30-year-old lefty benefited from a five-run fifth inning from his offense to put him in the win column despite watching his ERA rise to 4.42. Duffy will face a tough test in Minnesota on Saturday.

Duffy allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out 11 across six innings Tuesday against the Braves. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy's lone blemish came in the first inning when he allowed an RBI double to Josh Donaldson. He went on to throw five scoreless innings, striking out the side in each of his final two frames. His 11-punchout performance marked his highest total since he whiffed 16 on August 1, 2016, and was backed by 16 swinging strikes on 99 total pitches. With this strong performance, Duffy lowered his ERA to 4.32 and WHIP to 1.36 across 89.2 innings for the season. He'll look to build on this outing in his next start, currently scheduled for Sunday against Cleveland.

Duffy (4-5) picked up the win Wednesday after holding the White Sox to two runs on six hits while striking out five over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy delivered a quality start and did not issue any walks for the first time this season. The 30-year-old held the White Sox hitless until the third inning and scoreless until the sixth, when he surrendered a two-run homer to Ryan Goins. Duffy had exited his last start against Detroit after getting hit in the hand with a ball, but clearly the injury was nothing serious. After his solid outing, the southpaw owns a 4.52 ERA, 1.39 ERA and 69:31 K:BB heading into his next start against the Braves.

Duffy (hand) will make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the White Sox, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was hit on his throwing hand by a comebacker during Friday's start, but X-rays were negative. Manager Ned Yost simply relayed that Duffy would make his next start, and he lines up to start Wednesday at home against Chicago.

X-rays on Duffy's injured left hand came back negative after he exited Friday's start against the Tigers after getting hit by a comebacker, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is just dealing with a bruised throwing hand. Duffy tried to stay in and promptly gave up a walk and a couple hard-hit balls before getting pulled. He gave up four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three in two innings. Consider him questionable for his next start Wednesday against the White Sox.

Duffy (3-5) gave up two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out three through 6.2 innings to take the loss against the Indians on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a milestone outing as Duffy reached 1000 innings in his major-league career. Even though he struggled with his control, Duffy pitched well enough to get a quality start but was out-dueled by Mike Clevinger. The left-hander had a 3-5 record with a 4.28 ERA heading into the All-Star break.

Duffy (3-4) gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out eight over 6.2 innings Friday against the Blue Jays. He took the loss.
EDGE Analysis
This was his third quality start in his last four outings, and the first of those that came on the road. Things could have been worse, as he surrendered a couple home runs, but was fortunate to strand all but one baserunner. Duffy has been pretty serviceable of late, particularly at home, and he will have a solid matchup in his next outing Wednesday against the Indians in Kansas City.
