Duffy (8-11) picked up the win Wednesday against the Tigers, allowing one run on two hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy allowed both hits and the only run in the first inning before settling in and firing five scoreless and exiting with a 9-1 lead. He's now allowed just three runs over 11 innings (2.45 ERA) while striking out 13 in two starts since returning from a stay on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis. The southpaw will look to keep things rolling in his next start, which will come on the road against the Indians.

Duffy (shoulder) was activated from the disabled list prior to his scheduled start Thursday against the Rays, Maria Torres of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy is set to rejoin the Royals' rotation after spending a little less than two weeks on the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis. Prior to landing on the DL, the 29-year-old compiled an unremarkable 4.90 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 25 starts (143.1 innings). He'll face right-hander Tyler Glasnow in his first start back. Duffy's return pushes Glenn Sparkman from the rotation to the minors.

The Royals have confirmed Duffy (shoulder) as the starting pitcher for Thursday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City has yet to officially reinstate Duffy from the 10-day disabled list, but that should happen a few hours prior to the 7:10 p.m. EDT opening pitch. Duffy shouldn't face any restrictions with his pitch count Thursday after missing just over the minimum amount of time and completing a bullpen session Monday without issue.

Manager Ned Yost said Duffy (shoulder) will "probably" start Thursday against the Rays, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy said he felt no soreness after Monday's bullpen session, so as long as he checks out OK in the coming days, it sounds like he should be cleared to rejoin the rotation later in the week. The 29-year-old southpaw compiled a 4.90 ERA across 25 starts prior to landing on the disabled list.

Duffy (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy has been dealing with shoulder tendinitis for the past few weeks, so the 35-win Royals decided to play it safe with their ace and send him to the shelf. It's unclear how long Duffy will be sidelined, but he'll be eligible to return Aug. 20. Glenn Sparkman was recalled from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding roster move and will temporarily take Duffy's spot in the rotation.

Duffy has been dealing with shoulder tendinitis for the past few weeks and may have his next start pushed back, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duffy has allowed six or more runs in three of his last four starts, which the tendinitis could help explain. The disabled list doesn't seem like a consideration at this point, but the left-hander did receive an anti-inflammatory injection after Saturday's start, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Duffy (7-11) took the loss Saturday, coughing up six runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.1 innings while striking out two as the Royals fell 8-3 to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw has now been tagged for six or more runs three times in his last four starts, sending Duffy's ERA soaring back up to 4.90. He'll try to turn things around in his next outing Thursday at home against the Blue Jays.

Duffy (7-10) allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk across six innings while taking the loss Sunday against the Twins. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage to Duffy's ledger came in the second inning on a grand slam off the bat of Jake Cave. He allowed another pair of runs in the fourth inning but was able to pitch through the sixth as his team attempted to battle back. This start continues an inconsistent run of form for Duffy, who's alternated strong outings with poor ones over his last four. He now owns a disappointing 4.70 ERA to go along with a 1.48 WHIP on the season and will look to get back on track next weekend against the Cardinals.

Duffy (6-9) allowed seven runs on nine hits -- including a home run -- over 5.2 innings in a loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. He struck out six and issued two walks.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty also uncorked a pair of wild pitches. Duffy came into the game having allowed just one earned run in his last 20 innings with a 2.89 ERA since the start of June (nine starts), but he failed to capitalize here in what looked like a layup of a home matchup, continuing what's been an up-and-down season in terms of results. He lines up to start next Tuesday against the White Sox, but there's a chance Duffy is traded before then.

Duffy (5-8) threw seven shutout innings, working around four hits and three walks while striking out eight to earn the win Saturday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw spun a quality start for the second straight rotation turn -- and fifth in his last seven assignments -- while being rewarded with a victory for this one. Duffy has reintroduced his pre-elbow-surgery curveball into his arsenal, Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star reports, and it's paid off handsomely while he's thrown it 19 percent of his July offerings. Admittedly, the White Sox are one of the best streamer matchups in fantasy, but Duffy's positive momentum heading into the All-Star break has him working like a much better arm than his season-long 4.59 ERA would reflect.
