Murphy has a pulled right hamstring and will miss at least a week, ESPN New York reports.
Murphy was injured Thursday and had an MRI on Friday that revealed the pull. While Murphy is out, look for Danny Muno and Matt Reynolds to split time at second base. even if Murphy opens the season on the disabled list, Muno or Reynolds would open the year as the starter rather than the Mets promoting Dilson Herrera.

Murphy had an MRI on his right hamstring Friday, ESPN New York reports.
The results of the MRI are not available. Murphy thought he would only miss a few days, but that may depend on what the MRI shows. If Murphy is forced to miss time, Danny Muno, Ruben Tejada or Dilson Herrera, assuming the Mets was to call him back up from the minors, would start at second base.

Murphy confirmed Saturday that he didn't suffer a fractured hand after he was struck by a pitch during Friday's exhibition, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
Instead, it appears Murphy is just dealing with a bruise, which shouldn't result in an especially lengthy absence. The Mets will likely have Murphy rest up over the next couple of days before turning him lose in Grapefruit League play again.

Murphy left Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers with a bruised right hand, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
A David Price fastball plunked Murphy on the hand in the second inning and he was promptly lifted from the game. Apparently, Murphy suffered merely a bruise, though the team could always opt to send him for additional testing. Consider Murphy day-to-day until he returns to the field.

Murphy exited Friday's game after taking a fastball to his left hand, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
Murphy stayed in as a baserunner after getting hit, so this is likely just a spring precautionary measure. If he misses any practice time tomorrow though, that would be cause for concern.
