An MRI Friday revealed no structural damage in Daniel Hudson's right shoulder. It's obviously good news, but Hudson is still without a timetable while dealing with an impingement in his shoulder. He admitted to first having some discomfort in his April 13 outing but was able to make another start (and pitch well) after that. But, the D'Backs have wisely decided to play it safe. Wade Miley is expected to take his spot in the rotation for now.

Diamondbacks placed RHP Daniel Hudson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 19, with a right shoulder impingement. Tough blow for the suddenly "snake-bitten" Diamondbacks. It's never good to hear that a starting pitcher is having shoulder problems, but hopefully this is something that will ultimately turn out to be minor. No word yet on what Arizona's decision-makers will do to fill Hudson's spot in the rotation, but Wade Miley seems to be the most likely candidate.

Daniel Hudson yielded two runs and six hits in 7 2/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Pirates. It was Hudson's first quality start in three tries, but it resulted in his first defeat. He held the Pirates scoreless until the seventh, but he allowed single runs in each of the next two innings in what turned out to be a 2-1 loss.

Daniel Hudson was tagged for six runs over 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Friday. Hudson gave up 10 hits (including two homers) while walking three and striking out three. It was the second-shortest outing of his brief major league career. He has a good chance to rebound with a start against the slumping Pirates next week.

Daniel Hudson struggled, but still managed to win, giving up four runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings against the Giants on Saturday. Two-run homers by Pablo Sandoval in the fourth and Brett Pill in the seventh accounted for all of the damage. Hudson walked two and struck out four on the day. He's off to a good start towards building upon his impressive 16-win effort a season ago.

Daniel Hudson had no trouble with the Brewers Wednesday, tossing five scoreless innings on two hits and a walk while striking out four. It's the best outing in what has been a very good spring for Hudson, as he now holds a 2.57 ERA and pristine 14/2 K/BB ratio over 14 innings this spring. He'll be a co-ace with Ian Kennedy this season, getting the ball in the second game of the season.

Daniel Hudson allowed four runs on five hits in seven innings Monday, falling to 16-12 in Arizona's 4-2 loss to the Dodgers. He struck out five and walked one in his final start of the regular season. Not an ideal ending, but Hudson has now completed at least seven innings of work in six of his past seven starts. He finishes the year with a 3.49 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 169/50 K/BB ratio posted in 222 innings. The innings total seems high for someone pitching in his first full major-league campaign, but Hudson actually threw 188 1/3 innings between the majors and Triple-A last season. He'll start game two of the NLDS.
