Craig Kimbrel tossed a scoreless inning to record his 11th save of the season in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Kimbrel allowed a one-out single to Matt Adams and had no feel for his slider. However, he was able to blow away Peter Bourjos with his fastball to end the threat. The fireballer boasts a 2.20 ERA and has converted 11 of 13 save chances this season.

Craig Kimbrel tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Cardinals on Tuesday. Kimbrel mowed through the middle of the Cardinals' order, striking out Matt Adams, getting Jhonny Peralta to pop out and fanning Allen Craig to end the game. The save was Kimbrel's ninth of the year. He hit a rough patch in mid-April, but Kimbrel has now strung together five straight scoreless innings of work and appears past whatever shoulder issues plagued him.

Craig Kimbrel struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning Friday against the Reds for his seventh save. This one wasn't without a little bit of drama, as Kimbrel gave up a leadoff single to Roger Bernadina before walking Zack Cozart. However, be bounced back by striking out Brayan Pena and Chris Heisey before getting Joey Votto to ground out to third base to end it. Fortunately for Kimbrel and the Braves, first baseman Freddie Freeman was able to keep his foot on the first base bag while catching a wild throw from third baseman Chris Johnson. Otherwise, the game would have been tied.

Craig Kimbrel struck out two in a perfect inning while notching his sixth save of the season in Wednesday's win over the Marlins. This was the best Kimbrel looked in three appearances since he was shut down for a few days with shoulder soreness. He sat mostly in the 95-96 mph range but touched 98 mph and featured a nasty slider while getting a flyout and two punchouts to end it. It appears that the shoulder issue will likely just be a minor bump in the road for the closer.

Craig Kimbrel took his first blown save after allowing an unearned run in the ninth Monday against the Marlins. The run was unearned because the second baserunner of the inning reached on catcher's interference. What that doesn't acknowledge is that pinch-runner Reed Johnson probably would have scored the tying run from first on Derek Dietrich's double anyway, assuming that he would have gotten a better read on the ball there than he did while standing on second. Anyway, Kimbrel just couldn't locate his fastball early in the inning, and while he did find his slider in striking out the final three guys he faced to preserve the time, he was still leaving the heater farther up than he wanted to. While he maintains he's healthy, this makes two shaky outings since his brief shoulder-related absence last week.

Craig Kimbrel gave up two earned runs and recorded only two outs Saturday against the Mets. It was Kimbrel's first outing in a week -- he was dealing with mild shoulder soreness -- and he had to be pulled with one out to go in the bottom of the ninth. Jordan Walden entered to pick up the one-out save. For what it's worth, Kimbrel told reporters after the game that his shoulder felt fine and that he wanted to stay in the game.

Craig Kimbrel (shoulder) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Wednesday and declared himself "ready." According to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, manager Fredi Gonzalez was "noncommittal" about using Kimbrel on Wednesday night because of the cold weather in Philadelphia. Kimbrel has been unavailable the past two games with mild shoulder soreness.

Craig Kimbrel (shoulder) played catch Tuesday. Kimbrel was unavailable to close out Monday's win over the Phillies due to shoulder soreness, but both he and the team downplayed the situation after the game. In fact, he's hoping to pitch Tuesday if the weather doesn't wipe out the game in Philadelphia. It's encouraging news, but fantasy owners should continue to cross their fingers.

Craig Kimbrel is being listed as day-to-day with a sore shoulder. Obviously it's potentially worrisome anytime the shoulder is involved, but Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez isn't concerned, categorizing it as "normal soreness." Just to be safe, Kimbrel owners should run to pick up David Carpenter just in case. Carpenter converted the save Monday with a scoreless inning.
