Kimbrel worked around a lead-off walk, sandwiching a John Mayberry, Jr. fly out with two strikeouts. The flame-throwing closer is now 23-for-27 in save opportunities with a 2.30 ERA, a 0.99 WHIP, and 55/15 K/BB ratio in 31 1/3 innings.

Craig Kimbrel pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Astros on Tuesday. Coming off his fourth blown save of the year, Kimbrel rebounded to set the Astros down in order. The save was his 22nd of the year, third-most in the National League. He's had a few minor glitches in the month of June, but Kimbrel remains one of the most effective closers going.

Craig Kimbrel blew his fourth save of the season Friday against the Nationals. After entering the bottom of the ninth inning with a two-run lead, Kimbrel issued a leadoff walk to Nate McLouth before retiring the next two batters. However, Anthony Rendon followed with a two-run homer to tie the game. While the damage was done, Kimbrel managed to get through the inning and the Braves eventually won the game in 13 innings. This was just the third time in Kimbrel's career that he had given up a home run with a runner on base. The last time was in 2011.

Craig Kimbrel earned his 21st safe with a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday's win over the Nationals. Kimbrel issued a one-out walk, but was able to record back-to-back strikeouts to finish the ballgame. The right-hander continues to be among baseball's best relievers, as he is now 21-for-24 in save chances with a 1.91 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, and a 52/12 K/BB ratio in 28 1/3 innings.

Craig Kimbrel picked up his 20th save of the season on Sunday, recording the final two outs against the Angels to protect a 7-3 lead. David Carpenter started the ninth inning, but allowed a one-out single to Mike Trout and beaned Albert Pujols, prompting Braves skipper Fredi Gonzalez to bring on his closer. The stud closer needed just 10 pitches to strike out Josh Hamilton and Howie Kendrick to end the proceedings.

Craig Kimbrel picked up his 19th save of the season on Friday, striking out a pair in a scoreless ninth inning against the Angels. Just another outing for the most dominant reliever in the league. Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Kimbrel set down all three hitters he faced without any trouble. He now owns a terrific 1.75 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 47/11 K/BB ratio over 25 2/3 innings on the season.

Craig Kimbrel earned his 15th save of 2014 in the Braves' victory over the Marlins on Saturday. Kimbrel was only asked to record the final two outs of the 9-5 victory and did so easily. He now has 154 career saves, tying John Smoltz for most in Braves franchise history. Kimbrel owns an outstanding 1.77 ERA and 37/9 K/BB ratio in 20 1/3 innings this year.

Craig Kimbrel tossed a perfect ninth inning Friday against the Marlins for his 14th save of the season. Kimbrel was handed the loss against the Red Sox on Thursday, in part due to some shaky infield defense, but he bounced back nicely Friday and lowered his ERA to 1.83 ERA in the process. He now has 153 saves, which puts him one away from tying John Smoltz's franchise record.

Craig Kimbrel earned his first loss of the season while recording only one out, allowing the Red Sox to walk off 4-3 winners against the Braves on Thursday. Kimbrel put out a two-out, bases-loaded fire in the bottom of the eighth, but the Red Sox weren't done rallying. Kimbrel walked Jackie Bradley, Jr. and Brock Holt to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning. Bradley advanced to third on Xander Bogaerts' infield single and came around to score on third baseman Chris Johnson's throwing error. It's the first time Kimbrel has walked two batters in an outing. He still has 13 saves with a 1.93 ERA with a 36/9 K/BB ratio in 18 2/3 innings.

Craig Kimbrel struck out the side in the ninth inning Friday against the Rockies to lock down his 13th save of the season. Kimbrel has struck out the side in back-to-back outings and has allowed just one run over his last 12 appearances. He has fanned 36 batters in 18 1/3 innings this season, giving him a strikeout percentage of 47.3 percent. That's nine percent higher than where he was last year, which was still pretty fantastic.
