Craig Kimbrel took his first blown save after allowing an unearned run in the ninth Monday against the Marlins.
The run was unearned because the second baserunner of the inning reached on catcher's interference. What that doesn't acknowledge is that pinch-runner Reed Johnson probably would have scored the tying run from first on Derek Dietrich's double anyway, assuming that he would have gotten a better read on the ball there than he did while standing on second. Anyway, Kimbrel just couldn't locate his fastball early in the inning, and while he did find his slider in striking out the final three guys he faced to preserve the time, he was still leaving the heater farther up than he wanted to. While he maintains he's healthy, this makes two shaky outings since his brief shoulder-related absence last week.
