Kluber (13-6) surrendered one run on five hits and one walk while fanning five over 7.1 innings Sunday against Detroit as he secured the victory.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber gave up a single run in the first inning on a groundout to shortstop, but he cruised through the remainder of his outing. He managed to rebound after being tagged with the loss in both of his previous two starts (nine runs across 11.1 frames), and the 32-year-old owns a 2.79 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 139 punchouts through 145 innings in 2018.

Kluber (12-6) was rocked for seven runs (three earned) on nine hits and one walk across four innings to take the loss Monday against the Pirates. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber made his first start of the second half after shaking off a knee issue, but he hardly looked like his normal self. He allowed four runs following a two-out error in the second inning and three more on four hits in the fourth. While Kluber's struggles could be attributed to a bit of rust after 11 days off and the recent knee issue, he's now allowed 18 earned runs across 26 innings in his last four starts. He still holds a shiny 2.88 ERA and will look to bounce back this weekend against the Tigers.

Kluber (knee) completed his normal pre-start bullpen session Friday without issue and will make his first start of the second half Monday against the Pirates, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber's arm slot had drifted in recent starts while he compensated for instability in his right knee, which may have contributed to the right-hander's poor showing in his last start July 12 against the Yankees (six runs allowed on eight hits and two walks over 7.1 innings). He received an injection in his knee the day after the start to correct the problem, though the treatment prevented him from taking part in the All-Star Game. With 10 days of rest between starts and the shot having provided the desired effect, Kluber should be activated with confidence as he prepares for a two-start week. His second turn is set to come Sunday in Detroit.

Kluber underwent an injection in his right knee Friday, which will force him to miss the All-Star Game. The club does not expect him to miss any additional time, as his next scheduled start will come against Pittsburgh on July 23.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber will be shut down for the next seven days, though there doesn't seem to be any concern over his status moving forward. The right-hander stated that his knee has been impacting his mechanics in recent starts, so he wanted to take advantage of the mini-break and come out of the gate healthy for the second half of the season. Across 20 starts this year, the Cy Young winner has logged a 2.76 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 132 strikeouts over 133.2 innings.

Kluber (12-5) struck out nine in 7.1 innings Thursday, yielding six runs on eight hits and two walks while taking the loss against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Brett Gardner and Didi Gregorius took him deep in the third and fourth innings, respectively. It was obviously a bad start, especially for someone with Kluber's reputation, but the nine strikeouts bring him to a 132:17 K:BB this season. He also still owns a strong 2.76 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. The 32-year-old righty will take the mound in Texas next Saturday.

Kluber (12-4) allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out five over six innings in a win over the Royals on Monday. He did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber wasn't at his best -- he was behind in counts most of the night, throwing first-pitch strikes to just 11 of 25 batters faced, and also gave up a home run. That said, it was still an encouraging performance after Kluber failed to make it out of the second inning against the Cardinals last week. Even with a couple recent stumbles, Kluber is still among the top 10 in the American League in most traditional pitching categories, ranking second in wins and WHIP (0.87). He lines up to face the A's at home Sunday.

Kluber (11-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two over 1.2 innings against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
After enduring a nearly two hour rain delay prior to the first pitch, Kluber was out of rhythm from the get-go. He allowed a pair of home runs and set season lows by a wide margin in both innings and strikeouts. Even with the clunker Tuesday, Kluber owns terrific ratios with a 2.54 ERA and 0.86 WHIP to go along with 9.2 K/9. He'll look to bounce back next time out Monday in Kansas City.

Kluber (10-4) took the loss Friday, allowing four runs on four hits and a walk over five innings while striking out three as Cleveland fell 6-3 to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Klubot looked downright human in this one, walking his first batter in over a month, allowing multiple homers for the first time in seven starts and turning in his shortest outing of the season. The right-hander only threw 65 pitches, so expect Kluber to be fresh and focused when he next takes the mound Wednesday at home against the White Sox.

Kluber (10-2) surrendered two runs on five hits while striking out eight over eight innings Sunday as he picked up the win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber allowed one run in the third, and another in the sixth on a Leonys Martin solo homer, but his offense gave him more than enough run support to earn the victory. Kluber has demonstrated excellent command over his last six outings, as he hasn't issued a single walk since May 8 against Milwaukee, which is also the last time he was tagged with a loss. Through 14 starts this season, the 32-year-old has posted a 1.99 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with an outstanding 103:10 K:BB over 99.2 innings.

Kluber (9-1) tossed seven one-run innings while earning the win Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing seven hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber threw an impressive 66 percent of his pitches for strikes and induced seven groundball outs in this stifling outing. He allowed a run on three hits in the third inning, but he allowed just four baserunners combined over his other six frames and avoided issuing a walk for the fifth straight outing. It was simply the latest in a series of stellar outings for Kluber, who is now tied for the American League lead in victories and sports a 1.96 ERA.
