Kluber won't start Friday against the Braves as the game was postponed due to weather. The game will be made up via a traditional doubleheader Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber will presumably just have to wait an extra day for his next start with rain expected to fall through most of the afternoon and evening in Cleveland on Friday. The 33-year-old is coming off a poor performance against the Royals in which he allowed six runs on six hits and five walks over 2.2 innings.

Kluber allowed six runs on six hits and five walks while striking out four across 2.2 innings during a no-decision against the Royals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Both starters in this one struggled, so despite the very short outing, Kluber avoided another loss. However, he's failed to pitch four innings and given up at least four earned runs and three walks in two of his last three outings. That's the main reason why Kluber owns a 6.16 ERA and 1.84 WHIP through four starts. He is also 1-2 with 21 strikeouts in 19 innings. Kluber will look to get back on track against the Braves at home Saturday.

Kluber (1-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk over six innings while recording the win over the Tigers on Tuesday. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber permitted just one extra base hit, a fifth inning RBI double by Miguel Cabrera. He also was nicked for a first inning unearned run on two singles and an error. The 32-year-old has a 3.86 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP this season, and his next scheduled start is Sunday on the road against the Royals.

Kluber (0-2) allowed six runs (four earned) on eight hits while striking out four and walking three across 3.1 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians ace wasn't himself, as he couldn't find the strikeout zone most of the afternoon. Poor infield defense didn't help either, as with the help of an error, the White Sox tagged Kluber for three runs in the opening frame. Chicago first baseman Jose Abreu, who has always done well against Kluber, then drove in three more runs with hits in the second and fourth innings. Kluber came into the afternoon with a 13-4 record and 2.80 ERA in his career against the White Sox, so this was quite a disappointing outing. He's opened the season 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and nine strikeouts in 10.1 innings.

Kluber (0-1) got the loss on Opening Day against the Twins, giving up two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking one as the Indians fell 2-0.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong outing for the dominant right-hander, but he was outdueled by a superb effort from Minnesota starter Jose Berrios. He still delivered a solid line for fantasy owners and will look to get in the win column in his next start, which will come at home Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Kluber will be the Indians' Opening Day starter next Thursday against the Twins, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber posted a 2.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 222:34 K:BB over 215 innings last season, so it's not much of a surprise he'll get the chance to start things off for the Indians in 2019. The 32-year-old did show a drop in velocity towards the end of 2018, but took things slow in spring training in an attempt to manage his workload. Kluber has exceeded 200 innings during each of the last five seasons with a 2.85 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in that span.

Kluber surrendered five runs on six hits and two walks and struck out three over 3.2 innings in Sunday's 9-9 tie with the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber was making only his second start of the spring after the Indians eased him into the Cactus League pitching schedule with simulated games beforehand. The right-hander faced only one batter more than the minimum through three innings before loading the bases in the fourth and serving up a grand slam to Yasiel Puig. The 32-year-old started to show some cracks late last season when he noticed a stark downturn in velocity, but he still turned in another banner year and should make for a comfortable early round investments in drafts, even if he no longer finds himself in the elite tier of pitchers.

Kluber (0-1) gave up four runs on six hits with two walks over 4.2 innings in a loss to the Astros in Game 1 of the American League Division Series. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber pitched three scoreless frames before allowing four runs over the next two innings. The devastating blows came from three solo shots, marking the fourth consecutive playoff start that Kluber has allowed at least two home runs. The right-hander posted a 2.89 ERA, 9.3 K/9 and 1.1 HR/9 in 2018 and will look to get back on track if he gets another opportunity in the Division Series.

Kluber didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Royals, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander got pulled after 80 pitches (59 strikes) in a meaningless game for Cleveland, and he should be well rested when he faced down Justin Verlander on Friday in the first game of the ALDS. Kluber wraps up his regular season with a career-high 20 wins, a 2.89 ERA and 222 strikeouts -- his fifth straight campaign with at least 200 K's.

Kluber is listed as the Indians' probable pitcher for Monday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians will activate Trevor Bauer (fibula) from the 10-day disabled list and have him start Friday against the Red Sox, while Adam Plutko will return from a brief stint in the bullpen to start Sunday's series finale. Those two additions will take Kluber out of the mix for a two-start week, allowing him to take the hill on five days' rest. Considering Kluber's prior turn Tuesday came on seven days' rest, it appears the Indians' main priority is easing up on their ace's workload down the stretch with the hope of keeping him fresh for the postseason. With that in mind, it's far from a lock that Kluber will make more than one start in the final week of the regular season, despite leading off the Indians' seven-game road trip to close out the campaign.
