Richard allowed five runs on seven hits in a no-decision against the Brewers on Tuesday, striking out three and walking two in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Richard gave up a couple two-run homers in the first inning but was able to settle down thereafter, throwing 84 pitches (51 for strikes) on the evening. Richard hasn't registered a win in his last eight starts and now carries a 5.13 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. The lefty has a 100:58 K:BB in 142 innings this season and will look to get into the win column in his next start at home against the Phillies.

Richard will have his next start pushed back from Sunday to Tuesday, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richard could use the extra two days of rest. Over his past seven starts, he has a 7.05 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. Joey Lucchesi will start Sunday against the Cubs.

Richard (7-10) took the loss Wednesday as the Mets downed the Padres 6-4, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks over five innings while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw actually held the Mets scoreless for four innings before the floodgates opened in the fifth. Richard has now been tagged with at least five runs in three of his last five starts, and he'll carry an ugly 5.05 ERA into his next outing Tuesday at home against the Giants.

Richard didn't factor into the decision against the Cubs on Friday, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits over six innings, striking out four and walking five in San Diego's eventual 5-4 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Richard continues to eat up innings, as he hasn't gone less than five frames since all the way back on May 2. While that work rate has been impressive despite his unremarkable 4.43 ERA and 1.31 WHIP, it should also be noted that this was the third straight start Richard has walked more batters than he's struck out, which is a bit of a concerning trend. At this point, he's probably best considered a viable streaming option against inviting matchups more than a reliable cog on a fantasy staff.

Richard pitched five innings Sunday, yielding three runs on five hits and four walks in a 4-3 win over Arizona. He struck out two batters in the no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Richard raised his ERA to 4.50 in 118 innings this season. Luckily, San Diego's bullpen came in and threw 11 shutout innings in the 16-inning win, giving Richard the no-decision. The 34-year-old owns an 88:42 K:BB, but he's walked nine batters in his last two outings. Richard will face the Cubs on Friday.

Richard (7-6) got the win against the Giants on Friday, giving up two runs on three hits over six innings, striking out four and walking none in the Padres' 6-2 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Richard still sports a 4.23 ERA following this strong start, but that doesn't tell the story of how well he's been pitching lately. The left-hander has a 2.77 ERA over his four outings in June, all of which have been wins and quality starts. In fact, Richard has now thrown quality starts in seven of his last eight outings dating back to May 8. It's hard to say how long he'll continue to provide returns like this considering he's 34 years old and, given his lengthy track record, it seems likely he won't substantially deviate from his career ERA of 4.32. For the moment, however, Richard is throwing enough innings and posting solid enough ratios to move the fantasy needle.

Richard (6-6) gave up two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six frames to pick up his sixth win over the Braves on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Richard was in fine form, inducing seven groundballs and 11 swinging strikes in a 96-pitch outing. The southpaw has been in a groove of late, producing four consecutive quality starts. Richard's career high 7.4 K/9 is a big reason why he has seen improved results, but his 4.31 ERA is a reminder of why he is tough to trust on a regular basis. That said, he gets a favorable matchup against the Giants next Thursday, giving him some streaming appeal.

Richard (5-6) allowed one run on two hits and three walks across seven strong innings to earn the win Sunday against the Marlins. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Richard dominated through the first six innings, allowing just two baserunners without a run against. He ran into a bit of trouble in the seventh, allowing a run on two hits and a walk, but he closed out the frame to preserve the lead. This start extends a run of excellence for Richard, who's allowed three runs or fewer while going at least seven innings in six of the last seven starts. He'll take a respectable 4.40 ERA into next week's scheduled matchup with the Braves.

Richard allowed three runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts through seven innings to earn the win Monday over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Richard's only big mistake was a two-run double off the bat of Charlie Culberson in the fourth inning. Other than that, Richard was efficient, as he tossed 75 strikes in 109 pitches, including 11 swinging strikes and 13 groundballs. Richard has thrived on groundballs in the last four years, with a GB/FB of at least 3.0 in every season since his return from injury in 2015. When he can limit the free passes, it's a good strategy, but with an arsenal that lacks a big swing-and-miss pitch, Richard doesn't have much room for error. He has a 3.0 BB/9 in 2018, a big reason why his ERA sits at just 4.67. He'll try and keep that moving in the right direction Sunday against the Marlins.

Richard allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts through seven innings but took just a no-decision Wednesday against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Richard was efficient, as he needed just 99 pitches to get through seven innings and induced 14 ground balls en route to his fourth quality start in his last five outings. Over those five starts, Richard owns a sharp 3.22 ERA with a 29:5 K:BB over 36.1 innings. Especially when he's pitching at Petco Park, Richard deserves attention from fantasy owners. His next start will be another home draw Monday against Atlanta.
