Paddack (7-6) was given the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings Friday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack was hit for one run in the second inning, two in the third and two more in the fifth before being lifted from the ballgame. Unfortunately, his team failed to provide him with any run support while he was in the game. The 23-year-old right-hander didn't appear to have his best stuff Friday night, but he still owns a 3.44 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 121 punchouts over 115 innings this season.

Paddack did not factor into the decision against Colorado on Saturday, pitching six innings and giving up three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack was unable to contain All-Star Nolan Arenado, who drove in a pair of runs with a solo homer and a single, but was otherwise in control, allowing only six total baserunners. The quality start was a nice turnaround for the rookie right-hander after he gave up six runs in four innings against the Dodgers in his previous outing. Paddack now sports a 3.26 ERA and 0.93 WHIP over 20 starts and will next head to Philadelphia to take on the Phillies on Friday.

Paddack allowed six runs in four innings against the Dodgers on Sunday but did not factor into the decision. He gave up six hits and walked one batter while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The talented rookie fell behind 3-0 on a pair of second-inning home runs and exited after the Dodgers scored thrice more in the fourth. The six earned runs were the most Paddack has allowed thus far in his career, and the rough outing snapped a sterling seven-game stretch in which he notched three wins while posting a 2.50 ERA. The 23-year-old is next scheduled for a home matchup against Colorado on Saturday.

Paddack (7-5) picked up the win against the Orioles on Monday, giving up one earned run on three hits over 5.1 innings, striking out five and walking two as the Padres cruised to an 8-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
The big right-hander continues to excel in his rookie campaign, as his latest solid effort gives him a 2.78 ERA, a sparkling 0.90 WHIP and a 104:23 K:BB through 100.1 innings. The Padres seem intent on monitoring his workload, so it remains to be seen how many big-league innings they let him throw this season, but for now he looks primed to keep providing excellent numbers.

Paddack (6-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Marlins, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over 7.2 innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie flirted with history in his first career start against the organization that traded him for Fernando Rodney in 2016, losing a perfect game on a throwing error in the sixth but still maintaining a no-hitter through seven until Starlin Castro led off the eighth inning with a solo shot. Paddack now sports a 2.70 ERA and 95:19 K:BB through 90 innings.

Paddack didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers, allowing three hits and a walk over 5.2 scoreless innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
It was another impressive performance from the rookie, who threw 71 of 96 pitches for strikes, but unfortunately for Paddack, neither team could get on the board until the seventh inning. He'll take a 2.84 ERA and 87:18 K:BB through 82.1 innings into the All-Star break.

Paddack (5-4) earned the win Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings in a 12-2 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack helped his own cause, tying the game with his first major-league RBI on a groundout to ignite a seven-run second inning for the Padres. On the mound, the rookie was stingy, throwing 72 of his 97 pitches for strikes. Paddack owns a 3.05 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with an 81:17 K:BB heading into his next start versus the Dodgers.

Paddack allowed two runs on five hits and three walks across five inning in a 6-3 loss at Pittsburgh on Saturday. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision
EDGE Analysis
Paddack held the Pirates hitless through the first four innings, but he gave up three hits in the fifth, including a two-run homer to Jose Osuna. Overall it was a good performance from Paddack after spending the previous 10 days in the minors to help manage his workload. The 23-year-old has a 3.18 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 73:16 K:BB through 70.2 innings and figures to take the mound next weekend versus the Cardinals.

The Padres recalled Paddack from High-A Lake Elsinore ahead of his scheduled start Saturday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Reliever Gerardo Reyes was optioned to Triple-A El Paso to clear a spot on the active roster for Paddack, who was shut down for the past week and a half while the Padres remain mindful of restricting his workload this season. Paddack may be subjected to further non-injury-related shutdowns later in the season, but he should remain a worthy starting option in just about every fantasy format when he's included in the Padres' pitching schedule. He had been scuffling prior to his assignment to Lake Elsinore, however, posting a 5.76 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over his last five starts for San Diego.
