Hatcher still appears to be the favorite for saves, particularly given he's allowed just two runs with a 13:2 K:BB in his last eight innings.
Kenley Jansen (foot) could be back within the next 10 days or so assuming his rehab outings go well. In the meantime, Hatcher will have some short-term value.

Hatcher was going to be used in a save situation Monday before the Dodgers extended their lead by three to 8-3 in the top of the ninth against the Giants.
Hatcher still came in and walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth. He's allowed two runs in his last six innings with an 11:2 K:BB since a rocky start and appear to be the heavy favorite for saves right now.

Hatcher imploded on Sunday, allowing three runs while retiring just one batter in a 7-4 win over Arizona.
After recording the save on Opening Day, Hatcher has had two brutal outings and now sports a 33.75 ERA. Safe to say he's not getting save chances any time soon.

Hatcher was tagged for four runs -- two earned -- on three hits while failing to record an out in the top of the ninth inning against the Padres on Tuesday night.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was attempting to use his interim closer to shut down the San Diego in offense in a tie game with the hope of plating the winning run in the bottom of the frame. Instead, Hatcher was roughed up a day after he earned the save against San Diego in the opener. Having pitched on consecutive days, Hatcher's availability for Wednesday is up in the air, and it's no lock that Mattingly would turn to him if another save situation (or tie game in the top of the ninth) arises.

Hatcher struck out one during a scoreless ninth inning against the Padres on Monday to earn his first save of the season.
Joel Peralta earned the win in relief while pitching a scoreless eighth, perhaps offering an indication of the pecking order in the Los Angeles bullpen while Kenley Jansen is on the disabled list with a foot injury. The Dodgers haven't officially named an interim closer, but Hatcher appears to have the short-term upper hand.

The Dodgers will use a closer-by-committee while Kenley Jansen is out, though MLB.com's Ken Gurnick suggests that Hatcher could get the first shot at a save.
Obviously this isn't coming from the team itself, but rather from observing the work by each Dodger reliever in camp and manager Don Mattingly's usage patterns so far.

Hatcher has made the Dodgers' 25-man roster, manager Don Mattingly told ESPN.
Hatcher could be in the mix for saves early in the season with Kenley Jansen (foot) sidelined, but the Dodgers haven't given an indication how they'll use a bullpen-by-committee approach. Hatcher didn't have a great spring with a 6.23 ERA, but did have a 9:2 K:BB ratio in 8.2 innings.

Hatcher allowed three runs in one inning in his last outing after having accumulated three scoreless innings in his prior appearances.
Hatcher could be a candidate for saves with Kenley Jansen (foot) sidelined, but there really is no clarity right now.

Hatcher is a candidate for save opportunities early in the season while Kenley Jansen (foot) is sidelined, Bill Shaikin of the LA Times reports.Joel Peralta and J.P. Howell are probably the very early favorites, but a strong camp from the former Marlin could put Hatcher in the mix. Monitor this sitation closely leading up to April.

Hatcher was traded to the Dodgers on Wednesday as part of a deal that also sends Andrew Heaney and other pieces to Los Angeles in exchange for Dee Gordon and Dan Haren, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
Hatcher saw regular big league action last season for the first time in his career, and he performed well, posting a 3.38 ERA and 60:12 K:BB ratio in 56 innings out of the Marlins' bullpen. Despite the strong numbers, he worked primarily in middle relief last season, and figures to do the same in 2015.
