Hatcher was tagged for four runs -- two earned -- on three hits while failing to record an out in the top of the ninth inning against the Padres on Tuesday night. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was attempting to use his interim closer to shut down the San Diego in offense in a tie game with the hope of plating the winning run in the bottom of the frame. Instead, Hatcher was roughed up a day after he earned the save against San Diego in the opener. Having pitched on consecutive days, Hatcher's availability for Wednesday is up in the air, and it's no lock that Mattingly would turn to him if another save situation (or tie game in the top of the ninth) arises.
