Chien-Ming Wang (hip) will make his next rehab start Wednesday with High-A Potomac.
Wang, out since earlier this month due to a right hip strain, allowed three runs (two earned) over four innings in his first rehab start last Friday with Double-A Harrisburg. Barring any setbacks, Wang should rejoin the Nationals' bullpen later this month.

Chien-Ming Wang (hip) will begin his rehab assignment Friday at Double-A Harrisburg.
Wang was placed on the disabled list last week and could be activated when first eligible. He'll return to a long-relief role with the Nationals. Ross Detwiler replaced him in the starting rotation prior to the injury.

Nationals placed RHP Chien-Ming Wang on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip strain.
The move was made retroactive to July 1, so Wang will be eligible to return shortly after the All-Star break. He's registered a brutal 7.61 ERA in 23 2/3 innings this season, and could probably use the time off.

Chien-Ming Wang has been moved to the bullpen.
Wang was hammered for five runs in 3 1/3 innings Tuesday night against the Rays and carries a frightening 2.08 WHIP through 20 2/3 total frames this year. Ross Detwiler has been moved back into the starting rotation.

Chien-Ming Wang wasn't terribly sharp but won Tuesday anyway, allowing two runs on four hits and five walks over five innings in the 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays.
Wang was in trouble most of the night but managed to keep the Jays from putting up a crooked number on the board. Still, he's posted a 4.67 ERA and 1.90 WHIP so far, making him a big risk outside of NL-only leagues. He'll try for better results next week against the Rays.

Chien-Ming Wang was shaky in his first start of the season Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks in just four innings of Washington's loss in Miami.
He struck out four. Not the outing Wang was envisioning, but not a major concern as he settles into the Nats rotation. That being said, if he isn't in groove after four or five outings, the Nats could easily shift Ross Detwiler back into their starting five. Wang will get the Mets at home next week.

The Nationals are moving Chien-Ming Wang into the rotation.
Ross Detwiler, who allowed three runs in just 4 1/3 innings Friday against the Braves, will be shifted to the bullpen. Wang's poor strikeout numbers make him an unattractive option in most fantasy leagues, but he should do fine for the Nats in his more familiar starting role.

Nationals manager Davey Johnson said that Chien-Ming Wang (hamstring) will pitch out of the bullpen when he comes off the disabled list.
It's what we expected, given the early success of Ross Detwiler. Wang is nearing the end of his 30-day rehab window, and is slated to make one more rehab start before coming off the disabled list. The 32-year-old right-hander has drawn some trade interest, but nothing appears imminent on that front.
