Anderson will receive a couple days of rest prior to his upcoming start against Cincinnati on Monday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Craig Counsell elected to bump Jhoulys up a day in order to give Anderson added rest following his rough outing against the Braves on Sunday. It's clear that Anderson is struggling right now, as he's failed to get out of the fifth inning in four of his past seven outings. This will let Anderson avoid a red-hot Cardinals club and line him up for a pair of home starts -- versus the Reds and Pirates -- next week.

Anderson allowed four runs on five hits and two walks across four innings in a no-decision Sunday against the White Sox. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson's struggles mainly came in the early stages, when he allowed a pair of runs on three hits and a walk in the first inning before Ronald Acuna's two-run home run in the second. He retired seven of the next eight men he faced, but he was already up to 82 pitches by that point and was removed in favor of the bullpen prior to the fifth. Anderson allowed four earned runs without completing five innings for the second straight start, bringing his season ERA up to 3.97. He hadn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his previous eight outings before this rough patch and will look to get back on track this weekend against the Cardinals.

Anderson allowed four runs on five hits in 4.2 innings Tuesday against the Brewers, striking out four and walking four in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson struggled with his control Tuesday, throwing just 54 of 96 pitches for strikes. The outing comes on the heels of back-to-back quality starts, and Anderson is still holding opponents to a .221 batting average on the year. The right-hander sports a 100:48 K:BB in 125.1 innings and will next take on the Braves in a start in Atlanta.

Anderson did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson's only blemishes came to lead off the fifth, as he allowed back-to-back solo homers to Yasmani Grandal and Brian Dozier on consecutive pitches to open the frame. It was otherwise a solid outing for the 30-year-old, who's worked to a stellar 2.08 ERA over 43.1 innings in his last eight starts. His 96:44 K:BB through 120.2 innings isn't cause for much excitement, but he's sporting a solid 3.65 ERA and 1.15 WHIP to go along with seven wins. The Padres are next on tap at home on Tuesday.

Anderson (7-7) picked up the win against the Giants on Friday, scattering four hits and one earned run over six solid innings, striking out three with no walks as the Brewers prevailed 3-1.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson got the best of Giants ace Madison Bumgarner with this solid effort that ended in his seventh victory of the season. He's been volatile at times, but overall Anderson is having a relatively solid season with a 3.69 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP, although those stats aren't quite up to par with the fantastic numbers he put up last year when he had a 2.74 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP in 141.1 innings.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Dodgers, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over four-plus innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers' hitters made Anderson work, and the right-hander needed 104 pitches (68 strikes) to record only 12 outs before exiting with the bases loaded and nobody out in the fifth inning, and the Brewers down 2-1. Corbin Burnes was able to put out the fire to keep Anderson's line on the night from looking even worse, and Milwaukee's bats eventually got him off the hook for the loss. He'll carry a 3.81 ERA into his next outing Thursday in San Francisco.

Anderson fell to 6-7 on the year after giving up a pair of runs on six hits and two walks Saturday against the Pirates. He struck out four batters in 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson's first inning cost him the game, as he gave up back-to-back solo homers to Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco. He was never in much trouble after that, only once allowing a runner to reach third base, but the Brewers could only manage a single run in the game, saddling Anderson with the loss. The 30-year-old righty's ERA now sits at a solid 3.78, but his underlying numbers give some cause for concern. He's relied on a low .227 BABIP and a high 80.9 percent strand rate, both of which are likely to regress. He'll likely next take the mound Friday against the Dodgers.

Anderson (5-6) allowed six earned run in 5.1 innings Sunday, yielding five hits and two walks. He also gave up two home runs and struck out five in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Both Rhys Hoskins and Maikel Franco tagged Anderson with a two-run homer in the first and fourth innings, respectively. Anderson's season ERA has swelled up to 4.54 in 77.1 innings with an unsightly 54:30 K:BB. The 30-year-old righty will look to get back in the win column Friday against St. Louis.

Anderson (5-5) threw seven scoreless innings and struck out six in a win over the Cubs on Tuesday, allowing one hit and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson gathered his sixth quality start of the season and threw his second scoreless outing (the other coming on Opening Day against the Padres). Anderson's 4.13 ERA is still a bit high, but he's otherwise sporting a nice 1.17 WHIP while holding opponents to a .217 batting average. The right-hander will next take on the Phillies in a start at home.

Anderson (4-3) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across 3.2 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson continued his season-long troubles with walks and home runs, allowing multiple of each in his start Saturday. The trouble began immediately as he walked two batters in the first inning, leading to three runs. The Mets then added two solo home runs in the second and third innings before chasing him in the fourth inning. Anderson has now allowed multiple home runs in four of his 10 starts and has a walk rate of 3.6 BB/9. Both marks are well off of last season's pace, as he allowed just three multi-home run games in 25 starts and surrendered just 2.61 BB/9.
