Blackmon went 2-for-4 in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks, accounting for all of the Rockies' offense with two solo home runs.
EDGE Analysis
Someone forgot to tell Blackmon that the new humidor at Chase Field was supposed to suppress homers, as the 31-year-old left the yard three times in three games there to kick off his 2018 season. He could find it a little more difficult to continue his barrage when the Rockies begin a four-game set in Petco Park against the Padres on Monday.

Blackmon went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Colorado's 9-8 defeat to the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It was Blackmon's first hit of the season and he made it count, touching up Robbie Ray with a three-run blast in the fourth inning. Blackmon has established himself as one of the most statistically prolific hitters in baseball in one of the league's most potent lineups the past two seasons, so fantasy owners should plug the star outfielder in with no reservations moving forward.

Blackmon may continue to bat leadoff now that Carlos Gonzalez is back with the Rockies, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
No official word has come forth on this front, but the primary reason Blackmon would've dropped in the order was to get another solid run-producer in the middle of the lineup. With Gonzalez back in the fray, the Rockies have another proven slugger that can fill the hole in the middle of the lineup. As a result, Blackmon may be able to stay atop the lineup. The move to third in the order may have sounded appealing from a counting stats perspective, but the 31-year-old did produce 104 RBI and 137 runs scored out of the leadoff spot last season, so he should continue to rack up the counting stats even out of the first spot in the order as long as he continues to rake.

Manager Bud Black said Wednesday that the Rockies are contemplating moving Blackmon down in the order to take advantage of his power, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies will experiment with batting Blackmon lower in the lineup during Cactus League play, and Black suggested there's a real chance Blackmon could be in the heart of the order on Opening Day. Raimel Tapia, Ian Desmond and David Dahl were all mentioned as possible replacements for Blackmon in the leadoff spot. If this change sticks, it would likely result in Blackmon seeing fewer stolen-base opportunities while shifting his counting production more toward RBI than runs.

Blackmon agreed to a one-year, $14 million deal with the Rockies on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was Blackmon's final offseason as an arbitration-eligible player, as he will hit the open market next winter. He received almost double the $7.3 million he received last offseason. Blackmon, who turns 32 in July, has been a fantasy stud for several years due to his stolen-base totals and Coors-aided batting averages, but last season he set career bests in most relevant offensive categories and also had his best year in the field since 2012. He is a surefire first-round pick in re-draft leagues.

Blackmon went 1-for-3 with two walks, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old has faded a bit towards the end of a long campaign, but it's a testament to how good he's been in 2017 that a .273/.377/.500 slash line in September is considered any kind of slump. Blackmon should remain a fixture at the top of the Rockies lineup down the stretch as they try to lock up a wild-card spot.

Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a double, a three-run home run, four RBI and two runs scored during Saturday's win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
After receiving a breather Friday, Blackmon returned to the lineup with a bang Saturday. He's now up to 35 homers, 93 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 131 runs with a .333/.398/.612 slash line for the season. It's definitely worth noting the impact Coors Field provides, though, as Blackmon sports a mediocre .792 OPS on the road.

Blackmon is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blackmon tallied just one hit in 18 at-bats over his last five games, so manager Bud Black decided it was time to give him his first day off since June 17 -- a span of 76 games. Ian Desmond will man center field Friday in Blackmon's place.

Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 11-3 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
It's his third homer and fourth multi-hit performance in the last week, and Blackmon has already established new career highs in every major offensive category except steals with 23 games left on the Rockies' schedule. The 31-year-old will be hard to ignore in the first round of fantasy drafts in 2018.

Blackmon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
His sixth-inning blast was the only run allowed by Justin Verlander. Blackmon now has 32 homers on the year, establishing a new career high to go along with personal bests in RBI (84), runs (120), triples (14) and walks (51) -- and it's not even the end of August yet.
