Bettis (1-2) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on six hits while striking out five batters through five innings during Saturday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis had allowed at least three runs in each of his past four outings and now sports a 4.98 ERA for the campaign following Saturday's mediocre showing. Additionally, with a 6.0 K/9 and hitter-friendly Coors Field as his home venue, Bettis doesn't offer a lot of fantasy upside moving forward. The 29-year-old righty lines up to face the Diamondbacks at Chase Field in his next start.

Bettis allowed three runs on five hits with no walks across 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Giants. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis allowed a pair of early solo home runs and gave up another run just before his removal in the sixth inning. He threw 67 percent of his pitches for strikes and went without a walk for the second time in five starts. Bettis delivered quality starts in each of his first two outings after returning to the club, but he has allowed 13 earned runs in 15.1 innings in three outings since. He will take a 4.91 ERA into a difficult matchup with the Dodgers on Saturday.

Bettis (0-2) took the loss against the Tigers on Wednesday, surrendering five runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs by Nick Castellanos and James McCann accounted for most of the damage as Bettis served up multiple blasts for the second straight game. The 28-year-old's return to the mound from a battle with testicular cancer is an inspirational story, but a 4.88 ERA through four starts makes him a risky fantasy play. He'll next take the mound Tuesday at home against the Giants.

Bettis (0-1) took the loss against the Braves on Friday, getting tagged for five runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
All five runs scored in the first two innings, fueled by Matt Kemp and Kurt Suzuki homers, and the Rockies offense wasn't able to rally after Bettis settled down. After quality starts at Coors Field is his first two starts of the season it's a little ironic that the right-hander would struggle closer to sea level, but regression was coming sooner or later. The right-hander will take a 3.79 ERA into his next outing Wednesday at home against the Tigers.

Bettis allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over seven innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He stumbled in the third inning, giving up three runs on four hits -- including a Travis Shaw homer -- but Bettis was otherwise excellent. The right-hander allowing just two singles over his final four frames, giving him a 1.93 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB through two major-league starts this season (both at home). Bettis lines up for a road matchup against Atlanta his next time out.

Bettis pitched seven scoreless innings with two strikeouts during Monday's win over Atlanta. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
This was the first start of the year for Bettis, and shutting out any opponent for seven innings at Coors Field is impressive. However, he posted an underwhelming 4.82 ERA through four outings with Triple-A Albuquerque this year and was only marginally better over 52 starts -- 4.52 ERA -- with Colorado during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Calling Coors home also hinders his fantasy outlook moving forward. Despite Monday's encouraging outing, it's still probably best to take a wait-and-see approach with the 28-year-old righty at this stage of the game. Bettis projects to make a home start against the Brewers next.

Bettis was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque and confirmed as the starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis is back with the big club and is set to make his season debut following a lengthy recovery from chemotherapy to treat testicular cancer. He completed six minor-league rehab starts between Triple-A Albuquerque and Double-A Hartford, clearing the way for him to rejoin the big-league rotation. He didn't throw more than five innings or 85 pitches in any of his tune-up appearances, so he'll likely be monitored in his first start back. The 28-year-old owns a 5.01 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 370.1 career innings in the majors. Carlos Estevez was sent to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Bettis has been confirmed as Monday's starter against the Braves, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Postreports.
EDGE Analysis
He completed five innings and threw 70 pitches (46 strikes) in a start Tuesday for Triple-A Albuquerque, and has not made it out of the sixth inning in either of his last three starts. More important than his performance this year is the fact that he has recovered from chemotherapy to treat testicular cancer, so it is quite the feat to be headed to the big-league rotation. Bettis has a career 5.01 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 279 strikeouts in 370.1 big-league innings.

Bettis is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Monday against the Braves, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shortly after Bettis completed his fifth minor-league rehab start Aug. 3, the Rockies reinstated him from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A. It appears the club only made the transaction because Bettis' 30-day rehab window had expired, and the Rockies were still eager to have him increase his pitch count in one final rehab start in the minors before he rejoined the big club. After Bettis threw 70 pitches and tossed five innings of one-run ball for Albuquerque on Tuesday, the organization seems convinced that he's now ready to make his season debut with the Rockies following a lengthy recovery from chemotherapy to treat testicular cancer. Assuming Bettis enters the big-league rotation next week, he would likely slide into the starting spot that had previously fallen to Kyle Freeland (groin), who was placed on the 10-day disabled list last week.

Bettis (testicular cancer treatment) was activated from the 60-day DL and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies had said that Bettis would join the big-league rotation when activated, but they apparently want to keep him facing minor-league hitters for now. He logged a 4.91 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 18.1 innings across Double-A and Triple-A during his rehab assignment.
