Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins' initial lineup included Correa, but the team has elected to give the 30-year-old his first day off since April 16 instead. With Correa on the bench, Brooks Lee will slide over to shortstop and Kody Clemens will enter the lineup at second base.

Correa added an RBI single in the seventh frame and finished with a season-high three RBI in the blowout win. Correa (wrist) is starting at shortstop and batting fifth against Atlanta on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Correa tweaked his left wrist against the Mets on Tuesday. He underwent an MRI and missed Wednesday's contest, but the injury doesn't appear to be of much concern, as he's back in the lineup for Friday's series opener. Correa is slashing .164/.227/.246 with five walks, five runs scored and four RBI through 66 plate appearances to begin the season.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli indicated that Correa (wrist) could be available off the bench Wednesday versus the Mets, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's no word yet on the results of the MRI on Correa's left wrist, but the fact that he might be available to enter mid-game suggests Baldelli isn't overly concerned about his shortstop's health. Correa was lifted for a pinch hitter in Tuesday's contest with soreness in his wrist after fouling off a pitch. Consider him day-to-day.

Correa (wrist) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
After fouling off a pitch during his third plate appearance of the night in the fifth inning of Tuesday's 6-3 win, Correa was seen shaking his left hand in discomfort and was visited on the field by manager Rocco Baldelli and a team trainer. Following a brief conversation, Correa was lifted for a pinch hitter, and the Twins relayed afterward that he was dealing with a sore left wrist. He'll sit out Wednesday's series finale and will undergo an MRI as the Twins look to glean more information regarding the extent of the injury. Willi Castro will fill in for Correa at shortstop Wednesday, opening up a spot in the starting nine at third base for Brooks Lee.

Correa, who left Tuesday's game with a sore left wrist, is set for an MRI, MLB.com reports. "The wrist is something I've been working on since spring," Correa said. "Just strengthening it, and I just felt a tweak on the swing and miss and then when I hit the foul ball, I felt pain in the area. But [I'll] get it checked out, get an MRI tomorrow. It shouldn't be anything too serious."
EDGE Analysis
Correa appears unlikely to play in Wednesday's day game due to the injury. It's also worrisome that he said his wrist has bothered him since last season. However, more will be known about his status after the MRI results are disclosed.

Correa was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mets due to left wrist soreness, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was favoring his left hand/wrist after taking a swing in the fifth inning, and he had to leave the game without finishing his at-bat. If the 30-year-old infielder ends up needing to miss any amount of time, Brooks Lee would be next in line for more starts at shortstop.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's victory over the White Sox. He ended an 0-for-18 streak to begin the season.
EDGE Analysis
Correa had been hitting the ball hard his first four games but came up empty before Tuesday. He looks back on track but more importantly is healthy after playing just 86 games last season due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
