Correa (heel) is unlikely to join the Twins during their four-game series against the Cleveland Guardians that begins Friday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "He's ramping up his running right now," said Twins manager Rocco Baldelli. "He's not sprinting yet. When he's able to sprint and run the way he needs to, he's going to go on a rehab assignment and go get some at-bats. Then he'll be on his way back at that point. He has not hit that point yet."
EDGE Analysis
Correa did some jogging last weekend and appeared to be on track for a rehab assignment, but experienced some pain in the plantar fasciitis in his right heel. Since he hasn't started running at full speed, it sounds like he could still be out several more weeks.

Correa (heel) jogged and participated in fielding drills Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although the plantar fasciitis in Correa's right heel has lingered longer than initially expected, he said Saturday that he has started to feel much better over the past few days. Once he's able to sprint without any pain, he will head on a minor-league rehab assignment, though the Twins haven't yet provided an estimate for when that may commence.

Correa (heel) participated in limited hitting drills Saturday and worked out on a treadmill, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. He could soon progress to running on the field.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list July 20 due to right plantar fasciitis. He had been wearing a boot on his right foot, so he's making progress. It sounds like he could still be a week or more away from starting a rehab assignment.

Correa (heel) was wearing a walking boot in the clubhouse before Monday's game against the Phillies, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to right plantar fasciitis, and he noted that he'll be in the walking boot for at least a few more days. The shortstop also said he wasn't sure he'll begin baseball activities immediately after shedding the boot, and he's hopeful he won't miss more than another week or two, per Park. The club could have an updated timetable for Correa's return later in the week.

Correa (heel) was placed on the 10-day injured list with right plantar fasciitis Saturday, retroactive to July 16.
EDGE Analysis
Correa missed the Twins' final two games before the All-Star break with a heel injury, but it wasn't considered to be particularly serious at the time. He will now be forced to miss at least the the next 10 games, but plantar fasciitis can be a very tricky situation, so it's unclear if the shortstop will be able to return when first eligible. Correa had been on a tear since the beginning of June, batting .360 with nine home runs, 28 RBI and 29 runs scored over 36 contests, so his absence is a tough pill to swallow for fantasy managers. In a corresponding move, Edouard Julien was called up from Triple-A St. Paul.

Correa (heel) was removed Monday from the American League All-Star Game roster and was replaced by the Rangers' Corey Seager, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Correa is still expected to attend All-Star festivities in Arlington, Texas this week, his removal from the roster comes as little surprise after he missed the Twins' final two games before the break due to plantar fasciitis in his right heel. Dan Hayes of The Athletic relays that Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't as severe as his bout with the injury to his left foot during 2023 season, but it's not yet clear whether Correa will be back in action when the Twins return to action Saturday versus the Brewers.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said prior to Sunday's game against the Giants that a recent MRI revealed that Correa (heel) is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa is out of the lineup for a second straight game Sunday due to the injury, which had previously been classified as a bruised right heel. The updated diagnosis is somewhat worrisome considering that Correa contended with plantar fasciitis for a significant portion of the 2023 season, though that injury was to his left foot. According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't believed to be as severe as the one he dealt with in 2023, but the issue nonetheless makes it far from a lock that the veteran shortstop will be ready to go for the Twins' first game out of the All-Star break next Saturday versus the Brewers. Correa was named to his third All-Star Game and will still be in attendance for the Midsummer Classic in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, but Hefland relays that his availability for the exhibition is up in the air at the moment due to the injury.

Correa (heel) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Correa's bruised right heel doesn't look to be a major concern, but he'll be on the bench for the second straight game and will get an extended rest over the All-Star break before the Twins return to action next Saturday versus the Brewers. Willi Castro will fill in for Correa at shortstop in Sunday's series finale in San Francisco.

Correa was scratched from the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants due to a bruised right heel, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was initially slated to bat third and play short Saturday but was a late scratch as he tends to a bruised heel. In his place, Willi Castro will play shortstop while Ryan Jeffers enters the lineup, moving Christian Vazquez to third base. With just one game left before the All-Star break, the Twins could opt to play it safe with Correa and hold him out of Sunday's first-half finale.

Correa went 4-for-7 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After going 3-for-4 in the matinee, Correa launched a solo home run off Drew Thorpe in the nightcap, tying the game 2-2. The 29-year-old shortstop now has at least one hit in 12 of his last 13 games, going 17-for-46 (.370) with five home runs in that span. With his current hot streak, Correa's boosted his slash line to .310/.379/.526 with 13 homers, 47 RBI and 50 runs scored through 312 plate appearances this season.
