Correa's recovery from plantar fasciitis in his right foot is progressing ahead of his recovery from the same problem in his left foot last offseason, Twins president of baseball operations Derek Falvey told The Athletic. "He's tracking in a positive direction. He's got good plans for how he's going to handle it therapeutically and I think he's in a good place," said Falvey.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was sidelined with plantar fasciitis in his right foot from just before the All-Star break on July 12 until Sept. 14. He was able to play 11 games in September where he showed little rust despite no minor league rehab games by hitting .325 with a .960 OPS. However, he was clearly not moving at full speed, so the rest and rehab in the offseason should have him ready for spring training. After struggling with plantar fasciitis in his left foot during the 2023 season that limited him at at the plate, the healthy of his feet will be something to watch in spring training.

Correa went 3-for-5 with four RBI in an extra-inning loss to the Guardians on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
All three of Correa's hits were singles, but they collectively resulted in three Twins runs. The shortstop added another RBI with a first-inning fielder's choice, so all four of Minnesota's runs came on plays off his bat. Correa has gone 5-for-10 with two walks in three contests since returning from the injured list Sept. 14.

Correa is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has started every other game since returning from the injured list Saturday, as the Twins clearly don't want to overload him as he comes back from a two-month absence due to plantar fasciitis. Brooks Lee will be at shortstop Tuesday as Minnesota looks to even the series.

Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran shortstop went 1-for-2 with a double Saturday in his return from a two-month absence due to plantar fasciitis, and he'll head to the bench Sunday for the early afternoon series finale. Correa didn't play in any rehab games prior to being reinstated from the injured list, so it won't be surprising if the Twins continue to get him regular rest days as he gets back up to speed.

The Twins reinstated Correa (heel) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Plantar fasciitis in Correa's right foot has kept him out of action since the All-Star break, but he began making significant progress in his recovery after beginning a new treatment earlier this month and has now been cleared to return to the active roster. The 29-year-old infielder didn't appear in any rehab games before being reinstated, so there's a chance he shows a bit of rust during his first several games back, but he still figures to remain productive after slashing .308/.377/.520 through 316 plate appearances prior to his injury. DaShawn Keirsey was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move.

Correa (plantar fasciitis) will be activated from the injured list before Saturday's game, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has been taking live batting practice against minor league pitchers and working in the field the past few days. He's been sidelined since the All-Star break due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He'll likely return to starting at shortstop and may be rusty at the plate from his extended time off. However, it's a good sign for the Twins who could use a healthy Correa to ensure they make the playoffs and for the postseason.

Correa said Monday that he's "very encouraged" with his progress after beginning a new type of treatment for the plantar fasciitis in his right foot five days ago, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has sprinted three of the last four days and has come out of the workouts feeling better than he has in a long time. The shortstop believes he could be ready to play in games soon, though he's without a clear timeline to do so. Correa has been sidelined since the All-Star break.

Correa (heel) says he expects to play again this season but can't put a timetable on his return, Ken Rosenthal reports. Correa said over the weekend he felt the best he has running since landing on the injured list in July.
EDGE Analysis
There are no immediate plans for him to go on a rehab assignment, so he'll likely be out at least another week. While Correa is optimistic, he's running out of time to play in a rehab assignment and get ready for the final games of the regular season or playoffs.
