Cameron Maybin went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Brewers.
He also drew a walk. It's just Maybin's second multi-hit game since April 10, though he now has four stolen bases over the last three contests to give him eight on the season. His average is sitting at an even .200, but it will creep up eventually.

Cameron Maybin tripled and walked twice as the Padres' No. 6 hitter on Saturday.
Maybin struggled in both the top two spots in the order, so the Padres tried something new. It worked tonight, but it certainly wouldn't be good for Maybin's fantasy value if he stayed in the sixth spot for long.

Cameron Maybin will bat second Thursday for the first time this season.
Maybin, who is hitting .170 with one homer and 17 strikeouts in 47 at-bats this season, has batted leadoff in each of his first 12 starts. Will Venable will get a shot at the top of the lineup Thursday.

Cameron Maybin went 2-for-4 Thursday against the Dodgers, including a massive 445-foot two-run home run in the eighth inning.
Maybin's homer was the seventh-longest in the history of PETCO Park. Equally as impressive, the blast came off of fire-balling reliever Kenley Jansen. This is a great start to the season for Maybin, who could dazzle owners with his power and speed potential.

Cameron Maybin was hitless in five trips to the plate Wednesday against the White Sox.
He's now batting just .192 this spring with a .665 OPS. He does have a couple homers and a couple steals, though. The owner of a brand new contract, we're not worried about Maybin, who is a pretty safe bet for his first double-digit homer season and 30+ steals again in 2012.

Cameron Maybin expects to return to the lineup Saturday after banging his right shin while sliding into third base Friday.
Maybin was pulled from Friday's game after going 0-for-1 with a walk, but it's obviously not much of a concern. While the 24-year-old outfielder expects to play Saturday, we wouldn't be surprised if the Padres played it safe and gave him a day to rest.

Cameron Maybin left Friday's game against the Angels after banging his shin.
Maybin went 0-for-1 with a walk before exiting. It doesn't sound like a major concern, but the Padres will likely update his status after the game.

Padres signed OF Cameron Maybin to a five-year, $25 million contract extension.
The deal is now official and will cover all three seasons of arbitration-eligibility, and one free-agent year with a $7-8 million option for 2017. According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnik, Maybin asked for a no-trade clause, but the Padres have a strict team policy against them. Maybin, who turns 25 in April, hit .264 with nine home runs and 40 RBI last season while also stealing a career-high 40 bases.

Cameron Maybin's contract extension is reportedly worth $23-25 million over five years, with an option in the $7-8 million range.
The contract is similar to the five-year, $28 million extension signed by Chris Young in 2008. Maybin started 132 games in center field last year, and posted the second-highest defensive zone rating among National League center fielders. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Maybin is the first player with less than six years' experience to receive a contract extension from the Padres since 2007.
