Cameron Maybin (calf) is not in the Padres' lineup Sunday. Maybin exited Saturday's contest with tightness in his right calf, an ailment that had been bothering him for the better part of a week. He remains day-to-day for now.

Cameron Maybin was taken out in the second inning of Saturday's game against the White Sox with an apparent leg or foot injury. Maybin reached on a fielder's choice in the second inning. He got into rundown and was taken out with what appeared to be a leg or foot injury. Chris Denorfia came into the game to run for him. The Padres should provide details on the injury shortly.

Cameron Maybin doubled twice, walked and scored three times as the Padres' No. 2 hitter on Friday. Maybin has been a great surprise for the Padres, hitting .300 with seven doubles in 21 games since returning from a ruptured biceps tendon that was originally expected to sidelined him into June. He's not going to be worth picking up in shallow mixed leagues unless he begins showing some home run power, but he makes the Padres a lot better when he's sporting a decent OBP and playing his usual fine center field defense.

Cameron Maybin went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, including the winning run in the bottom of the ninth, in the Padres' 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Maybin singled -- after initially being called out before a review -- to lead off the ninth inning, and he ended up beating the throw home on a ground ball to give the Padres a walk-off victory. Maybin has been on fire since coming off the disabled list, batting .348/.400/.522 in seven games this season.

Padres activated OF Cameron Maybin from the 15-day disabled list. Maybin missed most of the first month of the season after having surgery to repair a ruptured left biceps tendon. While he hit only .243/.268/.405 during his rehab assignment, the Pads were encouraged by how much hard contact he was making in recent games. He should see pretty regular at-bats with Carlos Quentin (knee) on the DL.

The Padres open a ten-game road trip in Milwaukee on Monday night, then will travel to the nation's capital before flying back to San Francisco at the end of the month. Maybin has been recovering after having surgery to repair a ruptured left biceps tendon.
