Maybin will lead off for the Braves on Friday against the Pirates. Now that he's feeling better, expect Maybin to return to everyday duties patrolling center field for Atlanta. He's not of much fantasy use outside of NL-only and deep mixed formats, but has been a solid asset in those settings.

The Braves don't think the issue is anything serious, and Gonzalez said he's only anticipating a one-day absence. Maybin will be available as a pinch hitter, but he'd likely require a pinch runner, according to Gonzalez.

However, he has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games with a mere four strikeouts over that span, and has brought his on-base percentage all the way up to .361. He appears locked into the two-hole in the order for Atlanta.

Maybin will bat second Monday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports. Monday marks Maybin's fifth straight start in the two-hole and his 11th consecutive start in center field. Maybin has also hit safely in nine straight games to raise his batting line on the season to .257/.355/.419 in 122 plate appearances. He's chipped in four homers and six stolen bases, with three of those swipes coming in his last seven starts.

Maybin is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Reds, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports. Maybin has made nine straight starts in center field for the Braves, but will sit in favor of Eric Young Jr. on Tuesday night. It's likely just a maintenance day for Maybin, but it the move will also allow manager Fredi Gonzalez to get a switch-hitting bat in his lineup against right-hander Anthony Desclafani.

Maybin will earn a second straight start in center field Sunday against the Reds, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Maybin had been glued to the bench over the past week, but after he went 2-for-3 with a walk, home run and three RBI in Saturday's contest, he'll get the opportunity to stick around in the lineup a little bit longer. Manager Fredi Gonzalez has routinely shuttled Maybin and Eric Young Jr. in and out of the lineup in center field throughout the season, but the inability of either player to get going at the plate has resulted in multiple crests and troughs in at-bats for both players. Maybin appears to be the Braves' guy in center for now, but it may only take a couple 0-fers before Young gets another look.
