Brian Dozier launched a solo home run in a losing effort against the Rays on Saturday. Dozier finished the night 1-for-3, with the fifth-inning solo shot off David Price serving as his only hit. He's batting just .237 with six homers and 33 RBI this season and remains a bad option in fantasy leagues.

Twins manager Ron Gardenire said there's been "tons of debate" internally whether to option Brian Dozier to Triple-A Rochester for a few weeks. Dozier is batting just .235/.274/.327 with five homers and nine steals over 81 games, so the Twins are trying to decide whether he'd be better off getting some more seasoning in the minors. If he did get sent down, the 25-year-old would be brought back up in September.

Brian Dozier had a huge night at the dish on Thursday, going 3-for-4 with a homer, double and two RBI in a 5-0 victory over the Red Sox. Dozier also scored two runs in the game. After singling to lead off the third inning, he came around to score what would be the game's winning run on a double by Denard Span. He then added some valuable insurance with a two-run bomb off Alfredo Aceves in the ninth inning. While he has struggled to make consistent contact, Dozier has provided decent run production from the shortstop position with five homers and 30 RBI in his 283 at-bats.

Brian Dozier went 0-for-3 and committed his ninth error at shortstop in Thursday's loss. Dozier has been one of the league's worst regulars while starting 39 games since his callup last month. The Twins might as well go back to Jamey Carroll at shortstop and send Dozier back to Triple-A for a bit.

Brian Dozier went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI in Saturday's 11-inning win against the Brewers. Dozier's pair of sacrifice flies will further endear him to the fundamentally-obsessed Ron Gardenhire. A movement has begun amongst Twins fans to ordain the rookie Bull Dozier, mostly out of excitement over having a competent and healthy player at short for the first time since Jason Bartlett. Dozier is batting .286/.300/.446 with seven RBI over 54 at-bats. Although he's been guarenteed Minny's shortstop gig, thus ensuring him AL-only value, keep in mind that Dozier was never much of a hitter in the minor leagues.

Brian Dozier, hitting second in the Twins' lineup, went 2-for-4 and scored the team's lone run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday. Dozier has taken over as the everyday shortstop in Minnesota, and has gotten off to a slow start with the bat. The two-hit effort Saturday raised his average to just .240 (6-for-25). Though he's receiving regular playing time, Dozier doesn't bring much to the table offensively and should only be owned in AL-only leagues at this point.

Brian Dozier will start at shortstop and bat second Monday in his major league debut against the Angels. Dozier was called up from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday and will take over as the Twins' starting shortstop, pushing Jamey Carroll to a utility role. The 24-year-old was hitting .276/.339/.371 with one homer, two steals and a .710 OPS over his first 28 games with Triple-A Rochester. While the 2009 eight-round pick doesn't have a lot of power, he has good speed and solid plate discipline. Pick him up in AL-only leagues.

Twins purchased the contract of SS Brian Dozier from Triple-A Rochester. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said on his radio show Sunday that Brian Dozier will be his starting shortstop. Jamey Caroll will shift to a utility role, spelling Alexi Casilla at second base, Danny Valencia at third and Dozier at short. The Twins are reportedly shopping Valencia, so he may not be long for the Twins Cities anyway. Dozier hit .276/.339/.371 with a homer and two steals at Triple-A Rochester this season after hitting .320/.399/.491 with nine homers and 24 steals between High- and Double-A last year. He should be picked up in AL-only leagues right away and is worth monitoring in mixed formats.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said on his radio show Sunday that Brian Dozier will be his starting shortstop going forward. We knew Dozier was getting called up, but evidently he'll be a regular when he arrives. Gardy only offered that he will "move the others around," which likely means shifting Jamey Caroll over to share time with Alexi Casilla at second base. It's a move fantasy owners will welcome, as Dozier certainly offers more intrigue than Carroll. He's batting 276/.339/.371 with a homer and two steals at Triple-A Rochester this season after hitting .320/.399/.491 with nine homers and 24 steals between High- and Double-A last year. Brian Dozier will replace Justin Morneau (wrist) on the Twins' roster. One of the team's top prospects, Dozier is batting .276/.339/.371 with a homer and two steals at Triple-A Rochester this season. He'll provide infield depth, and his appeal in fantasy leagues is minimal.
