Brian Dozier went 0-for-4 as the Twins' leadoff man on Monday, dropping his average to .205. Dozier started off well after replacing Aaron Hicks in the leadoff spot, but now he's hitting .154 with two walks in 52 at-bats this month. The Twins should consider sending him down, but none of their minor league options are better bets.

Brian Dozier went 2-for-6 and hit his first homer of the year Monday against the Red Sox. The homer off Joel Hanrahan tied the game in the top of the ninth. Dozier struggled as a No. 8 hitter for the Twins, but he's hit .304 in 13 games since moving into the leadoff spot. He still rates as a weak link in the Twins' lineup, but there's no one better around to replace him right now.

Brian Dozier had a nice night at the plate in Friday's extra-inning loss to the Indians, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. The 25-year-old second baseman has supplanted Aaron Hicks atop the Twins lineup in recent weeks, and is now hitting .253/.299/.316 on the season with no homers, eight RBI and a pair of stolen bases. He offers a modest combination of power and speed, and while hitting in a premium part of the lineup should have value as a middle infielder in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Brian Dozier went 3-for-4 with a triple and a steal against the Marlins on Tuesday. Dozier's value took a hit when the Twins decided to go with Joe Mauer as a No. 2 hitter; that dropped Dozier all of the way to eighth. However, Dozier has now made three starts as a leadoff man over the struggling Aaron Hicks and gone 7-for-14 with three runs scored. He'll be a solid play in AL-only leagues for however long he hits there.

Brian Dozier went 3-for-4 and hit his second spring homer Sunday against the Blue Jays. Dozier is up to .278/.350/.463 for the spring, which could give him the edge over Jamey Carroll for the second-base job in Minnesota. He doesn't have a whole lot of fantasy potential, but if things break right, he could hit 10 homers and steal 15 bases.

Brian Dozier's first homer of the spring was a two-run shot off the Marlins' Nathan Eovaldi on Monday. Dozier is hitting .250/.313/.409 as he attempts to win a spot in Minnesota's infield. He's strictly playing second base this spring, and the Twins will likely only carry him if they think he should start there over Jamey Carroll. Carroll, for what it's worth, is hitting .306/.375/.333. He also has a $3.75 million salary.

Brian Dozier went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Thursday and is 4-for-21 this spring. The Twins are looking at Dozier strictly as a second baseman now, and if he produces this month, he'll probably start over Jamey Carroll on Opening Day. If, on the other hand, he keeps batting .190, he'll return to Triple-A for another go.

Twins recalled SS Brian Dozier from Triple-A Rochester. Dozier failed in his chance to be the Twins' regular shortstop, batting just .234/.271/.332 over 84 games while struggling defensively. Luckily for him, the Twins don't have much else at shortstop, so he could very well break camp next year with the job if he has a good spring.

The Twins would like Brian Dozier to play winter ball. The Twins sent Dozier down last month in order to work on his swing, which manager Ron Gardenhire said is "still inconsistent." Though they'd like Dozier to get some more at-bats in over the winter, it will be the infielder's decision. "I haven't talked to Dozier about winter ball yet," general manager Terry Ryan said. "That's one of those you'd like to have the player come to you. I think that would be a beneficial piece to his season, but that's up to the player."

Twins optioned INF Brian Dozier to Triple-A Rochester. Dozier is hitting just .234/.271/.332 with a .603 OPS and a 58/16 K/BB ratio over his first 84 games in the majors and has struggled defensively, so he could use some more seasoning in the minors. Pedro Florimon was called up from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding roster move and figures to see semi-regular playing time at shortstop.
