After singling to lead off the third inning, he came around to score what would be the game's winning run on a double by Denard Span. He then added some valuable insurance with a two-run bomb off Alfredo Aceves in the ninth inning. While he has struggled to make consistent contact, Dozier has provided decent run production from the shortstop position with five homers and 30 RBI in his 283 at-bats.
