The quality start was Cecil's second straight after he turned in zero in his first five outings this season. Still less than a year removed from a very solid campaign, Cecil could prove to be an interesting second-half flier.

Brett Cecil's return to the Blue Jays' rotation didn't go well, as he gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks over 6 1/3 frames Thursday in a loss to the Pirates. Cecil was humming along pretty well until the sixth, when he served up an RBI double to Ronny Cedeno and a two-run longball to Brandon Wood. He did strike out three, and his velocity was fine, so the outing wasn't a total dud. Cecil will look to win his first game since April when he takes the mound next week against the Red Sox.
