Nimmo went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
With both Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) and Curtis Granderson (hip) at less than 100 percent right now Nimmo has started three straight games, but Tuesday's performance was his first positive one at the plate. Expect him to continue seeing his name on the Mets lineup card in the short term, but the 24-year-old should return to a bench role once the team's veterans get healthier.

Nimmo will start in center field and lead off Sunday against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo will pick up his first start of the season with the big club with Michael Conforto (hand) not yet ready to return from the disabled list and Curtis Granderson nursing a hip injury. As of now, the Mets are only viewing Granderson's tight hip as a day-to-day situation, so Nimmo may not be in line for regular at-bats after Sunday.

Nimmo was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With Matt Harvey and Juan Lagares hitting the DL on Friday, the Mets made a pair of moves, calling up both Nimmo and Matt Reynolds. Nimmo will simply provide outfield depth after posting an uninspiring .223/.365/.392 slash line across 43 minor league games, mostly at the Triple-A level. Nimmo logged 73 at-bats for the Mets in 2016, hitting .274 with six RBI and 20 strikeouts.

Nimmo (hamstring) will be reinstated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo has been dealing with a hamstring injury since spring training and suffered an injured knee during a rehab game as well. The Mets have a full outfield anyway, so they'll let Nimmo continue to settle in at the Triple-A level. He'll be in the running for a call-up if the Mets sustain an injury in their outfield.

Nimmo (hamstring) suffered a knee injury during his rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas over the weekend, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo has been out since spring training with the hamstring injury and looked to be on the cusp of an activation, but it sounds like the knee issue could delay him further. The Mets likely plan to use Nimmo as a fourth or fifth outfielder once he's activated, meaning he won't be in line for regular at-bats.

Nimmo, who's on the 10-day DL with a hamstring strain, kicked off a rehab assignment Wednesday with High-A St. Lucie.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo injured the hamstring in mid-March and has been sidelined since then. He likely will play a handful of games for the St. Lucie Mets before progressing to Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Las Vegas. With Juan Lagares now active and Michael Conforto hitting well, it's possible that Nimmo remains in Las Vegas once he is activated off the disabled list rather than filling a bench role for the Mets.

Nimmo, who's on the 10-day DL with a hamstring strain, is also dealing with a bruised hand and has not yet begun taking batting practice, Kristie Ackert of The New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Mets GM Sandy Alderson said "He's making good progress", Nimmo's return will likely be delayed by a few days until he's able to swing a bat again. The hamstring remains the bigger concern, but the team could still have him back in uniform by the middle of the month.

Nimmo (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo will begin the 2017 season on the disabled list after aggravating his strained hamstring in mid-March. He recently began jogging, but is still in need of additional rehabbing. The DL stint is retroactive to March 30, so he's eligible to return as soon as April 9.

Nimmo (hamstring) has been able to start jogging, but Mets manager Terry Collins suggested Sunday it was a "long shot" for the outfielder to see any further Grapefruit League action this spring, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
A DL stint to begin the season it looking likely for Nimmo, but if he's at least able to ramp up his activity level over the final few days of training camp, it could be a short one. The 24-year-old will slot in as the Mets' fifth outfielder and provide a left-handed bat off the bench once he's healthy.

Nimmo (hamstring) is still not running, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo has to wait until he's 100 percent before he can return to action, so it looks like he'll be sidelined for a few more days. The 23-year-old suffered the injury while playing for Italy in the World Baseball Classic and could now find his Opening Day status in jeopardy.
