McCarthy is expected to throw three innings (~50 pitches) Thursday for High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy is making his second rehab start and is increasing his workload this time around. In his first outing, he threw 20 pitches - 11 for strikes - in two innings of one-run ball. For his second start, the Dodgers want him to go three innings on a 50-pitch leash. It's likely he'll make one or two more starts following Thursday's to make sure he's able to go at full capacity in preparation for his return to the majors.

McCarthy (elbow) will make his second rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy's first start on Saturday went fairly well as he allowed one hit over two innings in his first action since April 2015.

McCarthy will have his first rehab start Saturday at High-A Rancho, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After tossing a three-inning simulated game Monday, the plan is for McCarthy to throw three innings during his start Saturday as well. He is still expected to return in early July after recovering from Tommy John surgery for a Dodgers team that needs his arm. This outing will be McCarthy's first competitive game since April of 2015.

McCarthy will go on a rehab assignment within the next week, J.P Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy threw a three-inning simulated game Monday without issues and will begin his assignment within the next five or six days. He has yet to throw in game action this year as he is recovering from Tommy John surgery. As such, expect him to use all 20 days allowed on his rehab assignment and look for a return to the Dodgers in early July if everything goes well.

McCarthy (elbow) is expected to throw a three-inning simulated game within the next few days, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The simulated game may be the final test for McCarthy before the veteran hurler tests out his surgically-repaired elbow in rehab outings. Considering that he hasn't pitched in a competitive game setting since April 2015 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, McCarthy's rehab assignment could last about a month, making it unlikely that he'll be back with the Dodgers until after the All-Star break.

McCarthy (elbow) will face live batters Monday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
If all goes well with the live bullpen session, it's possible he will head out on a rehab assignment not too far down the road. The veteran hurler is still expected to return in early July despite a minor setback earlier in his rehab, but McCarthy's status should continue to be updated as he draws closer to a return from the disabled list.

McCarthy (elbow) resumed his throwing program Monday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy delayed his throwing program on Saturday, but has not yet been given a rehab assignment. McCarthy is expected to return to the Dodgers in early July by president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, despite his short setback on Saturday.

McCarthy's (elbow) throwing program has been delayed, but president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said he still expects him to join the Dodgers in early July, the Los Angeles Times' Andy McCullough reports.
EDGE Analysis
Previously a mid-to-late June return seemed possible, but that timetable no longer appears feasible. He has not yet gone on a rehab assignment, and when he does it will be at least several weeks worth of work in the minors before he joins the big league rotation. McCarthy is still a viable stash in very deep leagues, or leagues with DL spots, but it's worth noting that his rehab has hit a snag.

McCarthy (elbow) is close to going on a rehab assignment, the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports.
EDGE Analysis
He threw one simulated inning Saturday and will throw another simulated outing in the coming days before heading out on a rehab assignment. A return sometime in June still seems possible if there are no setbacks from here on out.

Manager Dave Roberts said Monday that McCarthy (elbow) will face six hitters during the week ahead, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy will face minor league competition for the first time this season while he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. He recently reached 89 mph during a bullpen session, and given this recent news, a return to the Dodgers at some point in June seems reasonable.
