Gomber won't start as scheduled Friday against the Nationals after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The game will be made up via a doubleheader Saturday, and Gomber should start one of those contests. Chad Kuhl, who is Saturday's regularly scheduled starter, should start the other game.

Gomber (2-4) took the loss, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out two over seven innings in a 2-0 defeat Sunday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
All of the damage against Gomber came in the sixth inning when he allowed three consecutive hits and an RBI groundout. Other than that he allowed only four singles, erasing two of them on double-play balls, and did not walk a batter. The 28-year-old has thrown six innings or more in five of his last six starts and has a 3.41 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in that span. His next start will likely come towards the end of the week in Washington.

Gomber will start Sunday's game against the Mets, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber was initially listed as the starter for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets, but he'll get an extra day of rest prior to starting in Sunday's series finale. The Rockies haven't yet announced a starter for Saturday's nightcap but will likely rely heavily on their bullpen.

Gomber allowed three hits on four hits and three walks while striking out three in six innings in Sunday's loss to the Royals. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber gave up five runs in 5.1 innings during his last start, but he was slightly more successful against Kansas City on Sunday. The southpaw posted his fourth quality start in his last five outings but was in line for his fourth loss of the season when he exited the matchup. However, he was able to settle for the no-decision since the Rockies put up seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gomber has been inconsistent early in 2022, and he has a 4.38 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 39 innings over his first seven starts. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Mets on Saturday.

Gomber (2-3) took the loss against San Francisco on Monday, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber entered the contest having registered three straight quality starts, but he didn't pitch well enough or go deep enough to extend that streak Monday. The southpaw gave up three runs across his first three innings and was lifted with one out in the sixth after allowing a pair of batters to reach base. Gomber has alternated losses and wins over his past five starts to post a 2-3 overall record on the campaign. He'll look to even his ledger in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come at home against Kansas City on Sunday.

Gomber (2-2) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, completing 6.2 innings and allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber was fairly efficient during his outing, throwing 94 pitches (62 of which were strikes) over 6.2 frames. He racked up an impressive 19 swinging strikes and struck out exactly six batters for the second straight game. After a rough start to the campaign, the left-hander has turned things around with three straight quality starts, during which he has posted a 1.93 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB across 18.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling when he faces the Giants in San Francisco early next week.

Gomber (1-2) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings to take the loss Thursday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber allowed a run in each of the second, third and fourth frames, though he retired six of the final seven batters he faced to turn in a quality start. He also surrendered only one extra-base hit, a solo home run by Alec Bohm. After two poor starts to begin the campaign, Gomber has allowed only two earned runs across his last two outings -- both on the road -- spanning 12 innings. He's posted an impressive 14:1 K:BB in that same stretch, but he's currently projected to pitch at Coors Field in his next turn through the rotation in a matchup against Washington.

Gomber (1-1) earned the win over Detroit in Game 2 of a twin bill Saturday, allowing four hits and striking out eight over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
The performance was quite a turnaround from Gomber's first two starts, during which he allowed seven earned runs over nine combined innings. The southpaw dominated the Tigers for six frames Saturday, recording 13 swinging strikes, fanning eight and surrendering no extra-base hits. Gomber will look to carry over the momentum from this outing to his next start, which is tentatively slated to take place in Philadelphia on Thursday.

Gomber (0-1) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Cubs after allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and four walks while striking out two across 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber hasn't looked good to start the season, as he has yet to complete five innings while allowing at least three earned run in each of his first two outings. The command has been an issue as well -- aside from posting a 6:6 K:BB through his first 9.0 innings of work, he also tossed just 48 of his 81 pitches for strikes in this one. He's tabbed to make his next start Saturday against the Tigers on the road.

Gomber allowed three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four across 4.2 innings Monday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber pitched a scoreless three innings to open the game, but he ran into trouble in the latter portion of his start. He allowed one run in the fourth frame, surrendering a walk and double to consecutive batters. He exited the game in the fifth inning, leaving runners on first and third -- both of whom were allowed to score by reliever Justin Lawrence. Gomber also threw 78 pitches, which suggests he may be able to work deeper in his next start, currently projected to come Sunday against Chicago.
