Gomber pitched five innings against Arizona on Thursday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber was hounded by Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly, who tagged the hurler for three RBI on a homer and a single. Gomber otherwise did fine, though he needed 99 pitches to make it through five frames. The southpaw has yielded seven runs across 10.2 innings in his past two starts -- both against Arizona -- following a two-game run in the bullpen. That may be good enough to keep him in the Colorado rotation, but it isn't going to increase his roster percentage in most fantasy formats.

Gomber is listed as the Rockies' starting pitcher for Thursday's game in Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
After a brief stint in the bullpen, Gomber re-entered the rotation last weekend as a replacement for Ryan Feltner, who was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque. Gomber, who surrendered four earned runs on six hits and no walks across 5.2 innings in a winning effort against the Diamondbacks at Coors Field his last time out, should be in good shape to stay in the rotation at least through the All-Star break after Antonio Senzatela (shoulder) was recently moved to the injured list.

Gomber (4-7) allowed four runs on six hits and no walks with two strikeouts in 5.2 innings, earning the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber gave up two of the four runs on solo shots by Christian Walker and Ketel Marte. Back on June 19, Gomber lost his spot in the rotation, but he should stick in a starting role after Antonio Senzatela (shoulder) landed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. Gomber has an uninspiring 6.53 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 54:22 K:BB across 73 innings in 15 appearances (13 starts). He's projected for a road rematch in Arizona next week.

Gomber will rejoin the Rockies' rotation during their weekend series against the Diamondbacks, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw lost his spot in Colorado's rotation nearly two weeks ago but will reclaim a starting role after Ryan Feltner was sent down Monday. Gomber has posted a 6.55 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 67.1 innings over 14 appearances (12 starts) in the majors this year.

Gomber allowed three earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out two across 1.2 innings Wednesday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber made his first appearance since being demoted to a relief role. He retired the first two batters he faced but served up back-to-back homers to Jazz Chisholm and Jorge Soler to sour the appearance. Gomber has a disastrous 6.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 64.2 frames on the season.

Gomber has lost his spot in the Rockies' starting rotation and will be available out of the bullpen beginning with Sunday's game against the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander had a decent 4.11 ERA and 1.20 WHIP through his first eight starts of the campaign, but he surrendered 24 runs across his past four outings to lose his rotation spot. Ryan Feltner will remain in the rotation going forward with Gomber moving to a relief role.

Gomber (3-7) took the loss during Wednesday's 7-5 defeat at the hands of the Guardians, allowing five runs on nine hits and one walk with four strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber surrendered one run apiece in each of the first two innings and stumbled in the fifth, allowing three runs on four baserunners, to fall in line for the loss. The 28-year-old has now surrendered at least five runs in three of his last four starts and seen his ERA and WHIP spike 6.43 and 1.48, both of which rank bottom four among the 62 qualified starters. Gomber will look to get back on track with a matchup against Miami on tap for early next week.

Gomber (3-6) earned the victory Thursday in San Francisco, striking out five in six innings while allowing two runs on five hits, a hit batsman and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Both runs against Gomber in the second inning as he allowed four batters to reach safely. He settled down and would end up retiring the final eight batters he faced. The lefty needed a good outing following two straight disastrous starts. It has been feast or famine for the 28-year-old this season with six quality starts and five disappointing outings. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week against Cleveland.

Gomber (2-6) took the loss against Atlanta on Thursday, allowing nine runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber got out of the first inning allowing only a walk, but the Braves got to him for four runs over the next two frames. He hurled a scoreless fourth before serving up a grand slam to Travis d'Arnaud in the fifth that sealed his fate. Gomber recently had a promising month-long run, tossing five quality starts across six appearances between April 23 and May 22. His past two outings have been disastrous, however, as he's allowed a combined 17 runs over 6.1 innings. That has pushed his season ERA up to 6.54 and removed him from fantasy consideration in almost every format. Gomber is slated to next take the mound in San Francisco next week.

Gomber (2-5) took the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals, coughing up eight runs on seven hits and three walks over 1.1 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw just didn't have it Saturday, needing 59 pitches (33 strikes) to record only four outs, but Gomber at least didn't give up much hard contact as just one of the seven hits off him went for extra bases. Despite posting quality starts in five of his prior six outings, this poor showing leaves him with a 5.51 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 35:16 K:BB through 47.1 innings on the season.
